YINSAN Gaming Headset for PS4 PS5 Xbox Series X|S Xbox One
YINSAN Gaming Headset for PS4 PS5 Xbox Series X|S Xbox One Nintendo Switch PC,Over Ear Wired Gaming Headphones with Stereo Surround Sound RGB Light Noise Cancelling Mic Flip-to-Mute Button, White
This product was sent to me for review, as part of Amazon Vine. The below is my own real-world experience of using it.
In terms of quality, the plastic body is quite robust, but feels a little stiff in places, to the point where I am concerned that it could snap, should it be bent the wrong way. The extension hinges are particularly difficult to manipulate, however, it is possible that this might improve over time, with prolonged use?
The spongy parts of the headset are actually very comfortable – I was able to wear the headset for a few hours, without ever wanting to remove it.
It also has a very long, braided connection cable, which gives a lot more flexibility around how close you need to be situated to your PC/console. There are a variety of connection options available, including a removable adapter for PC audio ports. The in-line control panel allows changing the volume, and the option to switch the RGB effects on or off (the lights are nice and vibrant, too).
As for the audio quality, it is good for gaming, but for multimedia purposes, a bit muddy. The highs are not clear (having an effect akin to a speaker with a blanket covering it). It does have some bass, but not clean. For a budget headset though, it is more than adequate.
I requested the headset as I like to voice chat with friends whilst I game – so far, the microphone has provided clear speech, without any popping or distortion,
In summary, a good value item.
These are more comfortable than they look and sound about as good as they look.
They are better at medium volumes more than high volumes, which is expected at the pricepoint.
I have no real issue with these, they tested fine on my PS5 and Switch, giving no connection or sound issues to worry about.
An ideal set of headphones for someone on a budget and likes the styling.
4 stars
I’d say this headset is average generally speaking, but for this price point being on the low end of budget, it’s actually a top tier headset when taking that into consideration. The sound is nothing special, honestly, it is just good enough. The mic is just good enough too. But you get what you pay for here, and what you get is a headset that isn’t remarkable, but is good enough, and that’s perfectly fine for a budget gaming headset.
Overall this is definitely a very good option for a budget headset, the sound is decent, mic is good and you have the added bonus of the headset actually looking really nice.
For the price, the sound quality that these headphones produce is very good. The mic produces good quality audio and doesn’t pick up on too much background noise.
The lights are only usable if you have a spare USB socket on your device, so it can be used on an XBox or PC. The lights also work from a USB power bank if you absolutely need the USB lights, although you can’t see them when you’re wearing them, so wasn’t a problem for me.
I like these headphones, the quality of the sounds is not bad for the price and they look clean and smart. The mic is nice and clear when I used it with discord. They weren’t so good for my PS5 though because you can’t plug in the lights, but if you don’t mind using them without the lights then it’s ok. I still prefer wireless for the PS5 – but for my PC these will do just fine.
I am pleasantly surprised by the YINSAN Gaming Headset, I like using it.
Firstly it has a nice design in white, its quite chunky so not flimsy in any way and fits well around the head, the pads around the ears are thick and comfortable for me when using for long periods.
The sound is better than I expected, I’ve been using it on warzone on series x, I can hear game sounds perfectly although I did need to turn the bass down a little as it was a bit too heavy for gaming.
All party members in my chat could hear me clearly with no issues and I can hear them clearly too, some even said they could hear me better than my last headset.
The cord to the pad is like a braided material which feels strong and should last well.
I haven’t tried the lighting as I found having the jack and usb at the end of the cord aren’t situated the best place for xbox/ps4 as they both need to be connected close to each other but this wouldn’t be an issue if using on a PC or laptop.
Overall a very decent headset for the price.
When my daughter’s gaming headset broke, the YINSAN Gaming Headset turned out to be an ideal replacement. Compatible with PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC, this over-ear wired headset offers a lot of versatility. The stereo surround sound provides an immersive gaming experience, and the RGB light adds a fun touch that she loves.
While it may not match the performance of top-tier brands like SteelSeries, it definitely delivers excellent value for its price. The noise-cancelling mic and flip-to-mute button are practical features that enhance her gaming sessions, ensuring clear communication with her friends. For anyone looking for a reliable and affordable gaming headset, this is a solid choice.
For a budget headset these really acquit themselves quite well.
They come nicely boxed, so would make a good gift, and out of the box are pretty reasonable. The white finish with a couple of black accents and a flash of chrome is a nice combo — like the Star Wars Stormtrooper of the gaming headset world!
The main band has a lot of give, so it fits both my little head and hubby’s huge one ;P One thing it doesn’t do is have any way to angle the actual over-ear pads from front to back, so it’s hard to get complete closure over the ear with them, though hubby said they were really comfortable for him. They do angle top to bottom, so the fit isn’t terrible. The microphone has a nice little flick-up/flick-down mechanism, for if you like to talk or remain silent.
These are plug-in earphones rather than wireless, with a standard mini jack which fits directly into my PS5. On the plus side, being direct-wire, you’re not going to get any lag or drop-out in the audio. Oddly the little LED lights need to be plugged in as well via USB, which since they don’t actually do anything other thanwell, light up, which you can’t see when they’re on anyway (save for the little LED on the mic), makes the entire concept seem a bit redundant to me. Just more cables to have to plug in. I don’t think it’ll ever get used by myself. There’s a simple little in-line controller that has a volume dial, a handy microphone mute, and a press on/off for the lights.
The earpads are comfortable, if a bit on the hot side after a while, and I’d say the headset is sort of medium-weight rather than lightweight—I wouldn’t want to wear it formore than a couple of hours max. The top cushion is pretty comfy tohugh, if maybe a little slippy, and all the cushioning is nice and soft.
As far as sound goes, they’re really not at all bad for the price. They have a reasonable range, with the treble not noticeably topping out, and the bass having a good depth. Obviously if you’re comparing them to a 60 pair they don’t have that kind of acoustic range or stereo positional audio, but for the price I really do think they’re pretty good, even when loud. Voices are clear, and explosions have a nice reverberation.
It seems like you can set this up for several different consoles, but I only have the PS5 and my laptop, both of which I tested it on. Can’t say how well it works beyond those, I’m afraid. Can’t even work out what the odd little pink and green splitter is for!
In all, I think for the price these are a really solid pair of headphones, with a lot going for them. I’d be perfectly happy using these, and they may do the occasional service for podcasts and music as well. Recommended.
For just over 20 this budget priced gaming head set is surprisingly extremely good. This has been tested on both a gaming PC and a PS4.
Straight out of the box its plug n play, the LED lighting only works via a USB power but is not necessary and can be used perfectly well without it. The headphones are noise counselling which aids in the submersion of the game play, the sound is way better then you’d expect for a product of this price. The crown jewel however I have to say is the microphone. it will pick not only your voice in crystal clarity but also all ambient noises too.
I’m very impressed
I ordered the YINSAN Gaming Headset and couldn’t be happier with my purchase. For 21.99, this headset is an absolute steal. The sound quality is decent, especially for the price — crisp highs and thundering lows immerse you in the game. The microphone is decent, too, providing clear communication with my teammates without picking up too much background noise. Comfort-wise, these headphones are spot on. The breathable memory foam ear cushions make long gaming sessions a breeze, and the adjustable headband ensures a perfect fit. Plus, the RGB LED lights add a nice touch of style, even if they are just for show.
In summary, if you’re looking for a good budget headset, the YINSAN Gaming Headset is a solid choice. The sound and mic quality, comfortable fit, and excellent appearance make it a no-brainer for any gamer on a budget. Sure, it’s not perfect — you’ll need an adapter for the old Xbox One, and the lights are powered by USB only — but these are minor quibbles for a headset that delivers this much bang for your buck. Five stars all the way!
As a person is a slight audiophile these were really good for the price! I did need to tweak my pc to produce better sound, if your on pc you can download peace eq and equaliser apo to get the best out of any headphones, it is a game changer. (people on consoles, sorry you only get stock sound)
Usally headphones prices around this range has a horrible ammount of base and distortion when reaching higher volumes however the bass is every crisp and very immersive. I was able to pin point enemies in apex legends and valorant without guessing. The microphone is also pleasantly clear, not as good as a standalone mic but it definitely does the job regarding communication.
The only downside to this in my opinion is the build quality, yes there light but they feel extremely flimsy and only after an hour of having this on my head (i have the head the size of a pea allegedly ) you can already feel the tightness loosening up. Also another issue is the ear cups and the foam on top, they’re quite tough for something that rests and slightly squeezes your head.
The sound quality and microphone cannot be ignored at this price point, however the build quality possibly having to buy twice a year due to breakage drops it down a star. 4/5.
This is one of the better gaming headsets I’ve tried, and I’ve tried quite a few, seeing as I usually wear headphones for several hours a day.
They are comfortable to wear for hours at a time, and they fit my large head fine. And I like that the microphone arm can be swung out of the way for when you are not using the mic. The headphones look nice, and the build quality is decent.
But where they have the edge is that the bass is actually pretty good on these, which tends to be the most lacking area on the other headsets I’ve tried. For the higher tones, voices are crisp and clear, though I’ve found other headsets to be strong here too.
They look nice, and have an attractive splash of LED lighting without being over the top. I like that they use an audio cable (the USB cable is for the RBG lighting only and its use is optional), so can be used with many different audio devices.
Overall, I think this is a very good headset for the money that stands out for its relatively good performance on bass considering the modest price.
These are okay, they are a budget headset and you really shouldn’t be surprised when that is what you receive.
Build quality is okay, the plastic feels a little on the cheap side and can creak a little. The headband has a lot of flex in it, more than I can remember seeing in any other headphone, this should help them survive being ripped off by a frustrated child.
Sound quality is okay, it is very warm with some lack of control in the bass but I haven’t found many headsets around this price with great control. Highs are not the best, nor is soundstage or imaging. These last two are going to be the biggest issue for gamers identifying where a sound is coming from.
If your budget is around the 20 mark, these would be a good choice.
As an avid gamer who enjoys playing on multiple platforms, I recently purchased this Gaming Headset. After using them extensively, here’s my honest review.
Firstly, the design of the headset is visually appealing. The white color gives it a clean and modern look, while the RGB lighting adds a fun and dynamic element, especially in a dark room. The build quality feels solid, with a comfortable over-ear design that sits well during long gaming sessions. The cushioning on the ear cups and headband is soft and supportive, reducing pressure and preventing discomfort.
In terms of audio performance, the stereo surround sound truly enhances the gaming experience. The sound quality is crisp and immersive, with clear highs and robust lows. Whether playing action-packed shooters or exploring open-world environments, the audio details are sharp and well-defined, providing a competitive edge and a more engaging experience. The surround sound helps in accurately pinpointing in-game sounds, which is crucial for multiplayer games.
The noise-canceling microphone is another highlight. It effectively reduces background noise, ensuring clear communication with teammates. The mic’s flip-to-mute function is incredibly convenient, allowing for quick and easy muting without having to fiddle with any in-line controls. The microphone quality is excellent, with my voice coming through loud and clear, which is essential for coordination during online gameplay.
One of the standout features is the compatibility across multiple gaming platforms. I tested the headset with my PS5, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch, and PC, and it worked seamlessly with each device. The wired connection ensures a stable and lag-free audio experience, which is crucial during intense gaming moments. The included cables and adapters make it easy to switch between devices without any hassle.
However, there are a couple of minor drawbacks. The headset can feel a bit heavy after extended use, which might be an issue for some users. Additionally, the RGB lighting, while visually appealing, is not customisable and stays at a default setting. It would have been nice to have more control over the lighting effects.
Overall, the Gaming Headset is a fantastic accessory for gamers who want an immersive and versatile audio experience. The combination of excellent sound quality, noise-canceling mic, comfortable design, and multi-platform compatibility makes it a great value. Despite a few minor downsides, this headset is a solid choice for enhancing your gaming sessions.
