Zacro Hydration Backpack – Lightweight Hiking Backpack with 2L TPU Water Bladder, Water Backpack for Cycling Running Hiking Climbing and Motorcycle, Upgraded Leak Proof Hydration Pack for Men & Women
I wanted to like this but it’s a bit small and it’s very boring to look at. It does what it says and is a useful way to carry a couple of litres of liquid but honestly I’d rather have a bottle that I clean properly.
I like the design, it fits into you nicely but there’s not much room for many extras. It’s OK. I worry about cleaning the bladder and pipe properly. Useful if you are regular runner, but i wouldn’t load it fully.
Backpack is a little bit small, but if you want it just for water then yeah it’s ok with a little bit of room for your bits, waste straps are small if you are a little bit larger than a 34 waste. Apart from that the backpack looks good when you were it. Also it has reflectors when you are out at the night. Great little item for the place.
This Hydration Backpack is a great choice for outdoor activities. The 2L TPU water bladder is well-designed and effectively leak-proof, providing easy access to hydration while on the move. The backpack is lightweight and comfortable, making it ideal for hiking, cycling, and running. The adjustable straps ensure a snug fit, and the overall build quality feels durable. My only minor issue is that the bladder can be a bit tricky to clean thoroughly. Overall, it’s a practical and reliable hydration pack for both men and women.
I gave this to a friend who ran the London marathon she absolutely loved it had quite a few people asking her about it as well.
NO messing about fumbling with bottles a massive 12 litre bag , ok she said a little heavy when full but then you are fitter at the start , by the time she had finished she did feal it but it carried her snacks and mobile phone (trust her lol) she did keep it so must be good.
I had used it before that as a giggle at a BBQ said it was full of beer ;P
A great idea for hiking, bike rides , runs or BBQ lol
worth the money.
This is a nice and compact hydration backpack, perfect for long walks or rides. It has a 2L bladder that provides plenty of water. I use it when I go for walks with the kids, and it holds enough water for all of us, so they don’t need to carry their own bottles.
The backpack is made of good material, waterproof, light, compact, and comfortable to wear. It features a waist strap to secure the backpack while running, though it would have been nice to have a chest strap as well.
The bladder holds up to 2L of liquid and has a big opening, making it easy to fill and clean. The material does not affect the taste of the water. The straw is long enough and can be passed through the strap, making it less disruptive. The end has a mouth cap to protect it from outside elements and a valve to open and close the water supply.
One small improvement I would suggest is to provide a way to secure the straw on the strap.
Overall, it is a great hydration backpack with plenty of liquid capacity and space to store extra items while going on an excursion. I would deduct one star for the missing chest strap and the lack of a way to secure the straw in the front.
This water backpack is great.
I have taken up walking with my Norwegian poles, this backpack is a good solution for staying hydrated.
I find it very comfortable and like the waist strap.
It remains comfortable throughout my ~45 minutes walk without my back getting too sweaty.
Enough pockets for all the bits and bobs I need to carry,
Very happy with it.
This is exactly what you expect. It’s a small compact bag with a liquid bladder and a straw you can thread through to make accessible.
It’s easy to get setup, and looks decent. It also feels comfortable to wear. It feels durable and well made.
The bladder is easy to fill up, and actually holds a lot of liquid. The bag is quite spacious even with the bladder in too.
Only potential nitpick I have with this, is I wish it was a bit easier to refill the bladder without removing it. Maybe there could have been a zip on the back of the bag that let you access the opening for easy refilling. As it currently is it’s a bit of a faff to empty stuff from the bag, take the bladder out and refill it.
Overall a good item for a reasonable price I think.
I really like the actual backpack part of this bag, it is nice and lightweight, smaller and more comfortable than a normal backpack and has a useful pocket at the front with pouches on the inside. If you’re not using it with the hydration bladder, you can use the section for that too, and I would think it would be big enough to take on a day out.
With the hydration bladder in, it is easy to use and the weight is well spread out. My little boy loved trying it on and running round the house with it while having a drink! It’s fairly easy to clean out, but it is hard to keep it open to fully dry on the inside.
Overall, it looks smart, and is a good price. Recommended!
I got the Zacro hydration backpack for my hillwalking, especially with summer approaching and the need to stay hydrated. While I appreciate the affordability of this pack, I couldn’t help but notice some drawbacks compared to branded ones. On the positive side, it has been leak-free so far, and the lightweight design is comfortable to wear. However, the material feels a bit inferior and I’m not entirely confident in its long-term durability. Additionally, the lack of side pockets for extra storage is a bit disappointing, and while it serves its purpose adequately, it doesn’t quite measure up to my regular hydration backpack. That being said, my partner has found it to be perfectly suitable for her needs, and considering the price point, it does offer decent value for the money, especially if you can get it with a discount or voucher.
First off I am impressed with the compartments on this and the hydration bag itself. The size may be an issue for some if running hence my title, but I think the size is a bonus.
The bag itself has many compartments which are zipped which helps me to feel more comfortable that nothing will fall out or get stolen as easily. Likewise, a lot more can fit into the compartments as they are larger.
The hydration bag is large in size and has a large opening making it easier to fill. There are clips on the inside of the main bag to keep the hydration bag in place. In addition, there is a small hole to push the tube from the hydration bag through which goes down the right arm and stays in place with a elastic strip of material.
The tube itself has a mouth cap on the end to protect the end from the outside elements and also has a valve to turn in and off the water supply – so preventing spillages if the mouth cap wasn’t in place. I think this is a nice touch and thought has been put into it.
There is also a clip strap which goes around your waist to keep it in place, rather than under your chest which I think is a bonus for women, especially those with larger chests.
So far I do not see any issues with it yet. I would recommend to others.
This hydration backpack provides limited storage, due to it’s a small size, but has useful zipped pockets allowing you to carry a few essentials, phone, wallet, rainwear, food etc.
However, it’s main use is to hold the 2L hydration bladder which it does well. I’ve never used a Hydration Bladder before, so this was new and initially I couldn’t get it to work, then I discovered you need to bite the end to open the airway so you can suck up the liquid. This bladder has a large 2L capacity, so great for long walks and is well made, with no apparent leakage.
I am however still in two minds whether to use this or take bottles of water as you need to totally dry out the inside of the bladder after every use which to be honest is a bit of a faff (this however would be the issue with any such hydration bladder). However, I can see the positives for using a bladder when on a bike, but perhaps not when walking. The bladder is good though if you wish to use one and the large stopper on the bladder when unscrewed gives fairly good access, allowing you to dry the inside of the bladder fairly easily.
In addition to good build quality and adjustable strapping, which should allow this to fit most people’s backs, I liked the fact that it has reflective surfaces on the back making the wearer more visible when out on the road.
I really like this smaller size of hydration backpack.
It’s neat and well made, and comfortable to wear (I’m female, 5’10”). The backpack feels sturdy and well put together; there aren’t a lot of unnecessary frills that you don’t really need and will never actually use. This is the straight rucksack style, rather than the vest ones, which are okay, but I don’t really want the extra heat and nuisance that the wide front pockets add when I’m running. I like to be aware of the rucksack as little as possible.
The fabric is the usual super-lightweight polyester, with the bladder compartment close to the body, and a good-sized zipped pocket in front of it, to store anything else you need.. All the zips and toggles and buckles seem good quality, and the stitching was neat and even, with no loose threads to cut off.
It also has a basic hip belt, which is a good thing to have when the water bladder is full, as it stops too much movement of the rucksack against your back.
The included bladder is perfectly usable too, perhaps a fraction thinner than my separately-bought ones, but it’s double-seamed, and has a great sized water stopper at the top so that you can get inside and clean and dry it properly, and leave the stopper off to keep it aired when not in use. I really like the large openings for putting ice in the bladder in summer–nothing beats keeping your back really cool when hiking/running on a hot day!
I gave the whole unit a few washes and flushes through with some Steradent before i used it (always keep it in because aside from this it’s great for flasks, camping water containers, cups, teapots, port bottles, and anything else you need to deep clean and remove stains from, but don’t want any taste to be left behind!), and the water I drank from the bladder that afternoon had no taste at all.
All in all I’m very happy with this. It does its job well, and at a reasonable price.
This hydration backpack is well made and feels fairly good quality. It is slim and lightweight with an internal pocket for the water bladder with a divider to allow stowage of other bits and pieces in front. There is also another zipped compartment with another internal pocket to put items such as a phone, wallet, keys etc. There’s not room for a huge amount of stuff, this backpack is definitely intended for running, cycling or short hikes, not a camping trip in the wilderness. There is a little padding on the shoulder straps but in my opinion not quite enough.
A couple of reflective strips on the side improve visibility at night a little, especially useful for road cycling, however they are quite small and not bonafide retro-reflective so aren’t picked up by vehicle headlights as well as you’d hope.
Priced at just under 20 (23 with 15% voucher) at time of review this is a good value hydration backpack.
At 23 (May 24) make no mistake this is a budget hydration baclpack, but as such it is actually good and so good value.
The material used is cheaper feeling nylons, and the interio lining is especially budget & crinkly feeling, the outer is less so, and feel more robust and looks to have a ripstop weave to it.
THe bladder claims 2L, but that would be a push, but it have volume markers. This hangs on 2 hooks inside the bag, in a seperate pouch inside the main compartment, and the bladder hose has a quick release coupler at the bladder end and the mouth piece seem ok.
The bladder material itself though feel very thin – so not sure how well it will last – but this is at a budget price, and if looked after should last well enough imo.
There is a lot of adjustability on the straps, which are comfortable and with thr adjustment you can get the pack sitting low enough (better to have the weight lower), and then use the simple waist strap to help secure it from boucing about on bumpy trails etc.
There is a separate front pocket which also have a separate pouch inside it.
Volume wise, aside from the bladder, there is enough space for some basic tools, mini pump, inner tube and snacks etc, maybe a light and very compact rain jacket at a push.
The hose feeds up from inside the pack through either shoulder strap and over the shoulder.
The sizing, while adjustable at the straps, I would say it is for Adults only due to the should width – possibly not even small ladies, it might be too wide to sit on the shoulders without slipping off (there is no chest strap)
Overall, if you are on a budget, you could do a lot worse than getting this hydration pack.
Obviously if you have 5x as much to spend you can get better, but this is fine.
