I decided to get this controller after experiencing a stick drift in the 2nd Xbox controller this year. I’ve only had it for a week so can’t speak on the drift so far, it’s got hall effect joysticks so hopefully won’t happen too soon, but so far I’m very impressed with the quality. It took a few minutes to get used to the shape and the triggers (they’re similar to playstation controller) but I can recommend it with clear conscience. It’s very well put together and for the price you’re getting a good quality controller and free game pass for 2 months, seems like a good deal. Also the buttons are very quiet which helps when you play at night. Overall I’m very happy with i

Theres not too much to say about it, other than its awesome. Size wise and just general overall feel, especially the sticks and triggers its reminicent of a ps3 controller. The d pad is odd. Its like kinda mushy but its clicky at the same time. I like a more mushy d pad and im not huge on the clicky ones but i like this one. The led fire rings are cool, they react to button presses and everything. So far i like it. I will update if anything changes. Also it can be calibrated through software if it ever gets stick drift. Also update the firmware. No regrets. Get it.

I don’t have too much to say about this controller. It works really well. I love the colour I got, which is like a kind of army color green. I love the RGB around the joysticks, it works great and I still have to look into the 8-Bit Do software or firmware update or see if there’s anything more I can do with it but even if I can’t and I can just play games with it then that’s fine! This is is better and waaaaay less expensive than the name brand controllers from Xbox in particular, or also from Sony, in a different format of course.

Also best of all, no more stick-drift!

    Great controller!

My first 8bitdo Controller. This one has very beautiful Rgb lighting and Hall Effect Joysticks! Feels slightly smaller than official Xbox controller but still very comfortable. The wired USB is pretty long, D-Pad feels like a mushy Snes D-Pad so I prefer the clicky Xbox D-Pad that’s my only complaint. The price is very fair and affordable. Works on PC and my Xbox with no issues.

I’m astounded. This is such a great value. Why are third party controllers getting better AND cheaper than official Xbox stuff? Used for a month and some change every day playing competitive games, no issues at all. Lighting is just AWESOME. The FEEL? That’s the best part. The controller is so solid yet light… I mean that there’s no creaks, no groans, nothing. Pressing anything makes almost no sound besides the CLICK. Gonna have to buy more 8BitDo products soon. Unreal bang for your buck.

YES I would get this controller even spending $10-$20 more for a wireless version if I wanted to replace a standard Xbox controller or just upgrade (FOR THE SAME PRICE OR LESS TOO).

Highly recommend giving this company a couple of your dollars for a quality product. You’ll be happy.

Time will really be the decider on this controller, since the dreaded drift usually strikes my xbox controllers after a year or two. If this makes 3, 4, 5 years without it, it’ll have been worth the purchase.
I like the way this controller feels and the lighting options are entertaining for the kids. On the down side, it’s wired only (despite the ability to detach the USB C plug), and the quality of the hall sticks seems… not great? They produce a similar error rate in circular testing as a normal official xbox controller, which is disappointing because I have other hall controllers that do much better. Still, if you’re okay without wireless, these are competitively priced.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersIts only con that it’s wired but all non MS controllers for Xbox are. If you playing a lot these Hall effect sticks will last you much longer than ones in original gamepad.
