Aenllosi Hard Travel Case Compatible with Kodak PIXPRO WPZ2 Waterproof Digital Camera,Protective Case for Kodak Compact Digital Camera(White,Case Only)
The case fitted the camera perfectly and has a handy built in strap across the centre so the camera is very well secured. Overall it’s a little bulky but that’s down to the shape of the camera rather than the case, the case does its job perfectly. Sturdy, fits perfectly, good strong zipper. Very good product.
It is nice to have a good hard case for a camera – whether it is for putting in your pocket or in a bag full of equipment that would otherwise damage it. This case looks good and works well.
It seems to be made from two plastic half-shells that are then kitted out with: a fluffy fabric in the interior, which provides ample protection; and, the exterior which is covered in a woven fabric. The two clamshells are attached by a zip fastener on the outside and a wide fabric strip to seal the two halves which means that it is resistant to dust and sand and from occasional water although it would not be water proof to any depth for a long time – if you dropped it in a puddle it would be okay but it certainly isn’t proof against immersion.
Inside, it has an elasticated fabric band across the deeper half to keep your camera in place and the shallower side has a webbed pocket that goes half way up so you can store things in it.
Outside, there is also a fabric loop that you can use to hold it with or put through your belt and so on.
This is a nice little case that looks after what you put in it – this one is designed for a Kodak camera but it also fits a Panasonic DMC-TZ100 with a parachute chord wrist strap or an action camera with a magnetic mount so there is plenty of room in there.
It is hard to get cases for compact cameras today when so many just use a camera phone – and this is especially true the slightly bulkier camera designs, so I was pleased to be asked to test this Aenllosi Hard Travel Case
Here’s what I found…
Pros This is a perfect fit for an Olympus SZ14 camera; it holds the camera and its dedicated charging and downloading cable without which it doesn’t work.
The protection is good as this is semi-rigid with a good zip to keep out dust, damp and fluff.
The “net” compartment in the lid is a perfect fit for the Olympus cable – and keeps it from scratching the camera; there is also enough room for a spare battery and SD card as well.
Cons None for me – as long as it proves durable.
OVERALL – I like this – and would be happy to get it again. If this fails inside 2 years I will be back to update my review but for now, I rate this as a good buy for storing and transporting my precious camera.
This style of case is fairly ubiquitous these days but there’s a reason for that because they’re good. The outer is a woven material atop of a semi-rigid shell. It offers a good degree of protection to the device inside.
The inner is a slightly brushed surface which stops your device from getting scratched. There’s also a netted pouch to stow away your device cables. It just keeps everything organised and tidy.
I doubt the case would stand up well to extreme punishment like driving a car over it but for everyday use it’s pretty good. I have a few identical cases and not one of them has failed on me yet. They get thrown in toolboxes, vehicles, rucksacks and I travel often. Happy to have it.
