This product was sent to me for review, as part of Amazon Vine. The below is my own real-world experience of using it.
In terms of quality, it appears to have been well-made – the construction is robust, with a sleek finish that ensures there are no rough edges to be found. All of the cut-out sections have been properly-engineered, so the device fits in perfectly, whilst every component that needs to be accessible, still is. The rubberised portion of the cage is very ergonomic – I felt it gave me a much sturdier grip on the camera.
You also get a set of screen protectors in the box, which are easy to apply, and leave no air bubbles behind.
In summary, a good value item.
This really is the bees knees. I have a few video capture cameras and recently purchased the Insta300. Great camera.
This frame, made of aluminium, so lightweight but tough, fits so well and is easy to instal.
Its give the protection I need and is a whole lot cheaper than the official frame from the brand.
Easy to access all the buttons and its is so unintrusive.
Its a joy to use.

After securing my camera to my bike and giving it a rigorous initial test, I’ve found this aluminium frame to be quite a sturdy companion.
It fits the X4 perfectly, offering solid protection from troublesome bumps and knocks. I appreciate the additional cold shoe mounts for accessories like lights or a microphone – they came in handy during a recent family hike.
However, needing to remove the case for certain attachments is a bit of a faff. Also, while the lens cover and screen protector are decent, they could be more user-friendly. Despite being a tad bulky, I prefer its sturdiness, especially given my tendency for fumbling in the wild Scottish terrain.
In summary, this frame does its job well, keeping my camera ready for action, whether I’m capturing my son’s mountain biking stunts or scenic shots from our highland treks.
Protecting my camera has never been easier. The aluminium frame for the Insta360 X4 offers a perfect combination of durability and convenience. Whether I’m trekking through the Peak District or capturing memories with my kids in the park, I feel at ease knowing my camera is well-protected. The frame’s design is straightforward; I found it simple to attach and detach the camera, and all the buttons remain fully accessible, which is a big plus. The added cold shoe mounts are a lovely touch, allowing me to add a mic or light when needed, ideal for those low-light hiking trails. It is a bit on the chunkier side, but for me, this just adds to the feeling of solid protection. However, be aware if you’re looking to use the helmet mount, as you might need to remove the case. Nevertheless, for my primary use on the bike and in rugged terrain, this frame holds up remarkably well.
Absolutely no complaints about this cage, it:
* Fits the X4 perfectly.
* Adds an additional layer of protection (apart from its lenses as they bulge out a lot.
* Gives you multiple mounting points and the ability to mount additional accessories.
* Doesn’t block access to ports or compartments.
In addition, it comes with a lens cover for when it’s not in use and a screen protector.
Recently purchased the Insta 360 x4. I wanted something to protect the case of the Insta 360… and saw the AMAZEAR Aluminium Frame Kit on Amazon. So pleased I purchased it… well made with solid aluminium, fits the 360 like a glove protecting it from any bumps or knocks also has 2 cold shoe mounts on the casing, a very handy addition. If you’re looking for a case for your Insta 360 x4… THIS is the one to go for.
I fitted the screen protector and it has a nice bevelled edge and seemed perfect for the job.
Whilst away on holiday I dropped my X4 and it hit the ground.
On inspection the screen had cracked.
But once I looked at it further the screen protector had cracked and the X4 screen was undamaged.
This was a great relief.
The screen protector did is job, so I am extremely happy with my purchase..
