Convenient Fabric Bag: The attached bag makes it easy to collect and hold fruit securely as you pick.
Easy Assembly: The tool is straightforward to assemble and disassemble, making it user-friendly.

Cons
Stability: Depending on the design, the pole may be less stable at full extension, requiring careful handling to avoid breakage.
Durability: Some users may find that the materials used are not as durable as higher-end models, potentially affecting longevity.
Weight Capacity: The bag may have a limit on how much fruit it can hold, requiring frequent emptying if picking large quantities.
Limited Reach: While 2.6 meters is decent, it may not be sufficient for very tall trees or branches.
Learning Curve: Some users might need time to get accustomed to using the picker effectively, especially if they’re new to fruit picking.
Easy to build, really easy to use, there is not a thing not to love about this apple picker. It has really long reach, is lightweight and feels very sturdy. Great value for money, great product!!
This is a super long apple picker. The handle is not retractable making it difficult to store without taking it to pieces. In order to try and make it stronger, the manufacturers provide heat tubing for all of the junctions on the handle. This means that you were left with a 4 m pole, to try and store. Even with these, it is a little flimsy and Bends alarmingly. Having said that, so far so good.
Does the job and while the pole is very thin pipe, it has held a full catch bag of apples without feeling too flexible. Catch bag is big and sturdy material, and adjustable neck seems sturdy and can hold 6-8 good size apples however the picker head is also bigger than poles used before which makes getting into the inner areas of unpruned trees more difficult. Would recommend.
The fruit picker includes an extendable pole composed of 10 stainless steel sections, reaching up to 14 feet (4.2 metres), and a double-stitched fabric bag for secure fruit collection. In my testing, I found that it easily reached the fruit on my apple and pear trees, and I can adjust the height by adding more pole sections as needed. It does effectively obviate the need to use a ladder and is therefore a lot safer. Also, you don’t have heavy fruit dropping on your head. The adjustable head design does allow easy access to fruit from different angles, and the teeth do allow the stalk to be severed and the fruit to be retained in the 6.1-inch (15.5 cm) basket. There is room to pick a few fruits before lowering the basket. It is not going to be suitable for all fruits and plums, and any soft fruit is not really compatible with this device.
The picker is relatively straightforward to assemble, but it is not without problems. The kit comes with a set of tools, but these are not the best, and I found that using my own tools was far quicker. The included tools are best discarded. Also, I found that the hole through the handle is about 1 mm out of alignment with the head part. This just makes putting the bolt through a little trickier than it needs to be. I also found that the adjustable joint is not very useful with the orientation of the basket. I disassembled the mounting screw and reversed it so that I could make more use of the adjustable joint. The only other negative concerns the storage bag, which is too short to store all of the poles.
During assembly, I did not need to use the plastic reinforcements, as the handle worked fine without them, but these probably become useful if you are using the set to its full extension. I feel that the minor negatives are outweighed by the positives, and they are nothing that I couldn’t easily cope with, apart from the small bag. I feel that 4 stars is fair.
The fruit picker I recently acquired has quickly become an indispensable tool in my gardening arsenal. It arrived just in time for the peak picking season, and its impressive reach has allowed me to harvest fruit directly from the ground, eliminating the need for precarious balancing on ladders or steps.
The build quality is excellent, with the picker featuring adjustable angles for the mouth, which makes it easy to customize for different types of fruit. The metal extension pieces are easy to screw together, and I appreciated the flexibility of being able to use only as many as I needed. When fully extended to its full 4.3-meter length, the picker offers outstanding reach, perfect for taller trees. The included plastic collars are a nice touch for those who want to keep the picker assembled, but I opted to leave them off to store the tool compactly in its box.
Despite its impressive reach, the picker is surprisingly lightweight and easy to maneuver. The head’s angle adjustment is straightforward, allowing for precise fruit-picking without too much strain on the arms, even when the pole is fully extended. The stainless steel construction ensures durability and rust resistance, making it a reliable tool for the long term.
For the price, this fruit picker is an excellent investment. It’s versatile enough to handle not only fruit picking but also retrieving other items like leaves, twigs, or even toys that end up in high places. Its sturdy build, ease of use, and impressive reach make it a fantastic addition to any gardener’s toolkit. Highly recommended!
