Has a surprisingly long battery life. The light is perfect for sitting around a table having dinner or hanging from the top of your tent, it’s not a torch so wasn’t expecting anything super bright and it was perfect for its intended purpose. We had lots of midges around us in scotland but weren’t bitten once and looking at it during the day you could see loads of them had been caught and zapped. Worked great!
Really good at attracting mosquitoes and other small bugs and one overnight charge can last 2 whole nights if only using blue light. It’s waterproof, compact and lightweight so convenient for travel. Easy to clean too — just run it under the tap. Highly recommended.
One gripe: AMAZON’S INFLATED PRICE. I’m discovering many things I buy from Amazon are much cheaper on eBay, and this is one. eBay 13.59, Amazon 16.99, which allegedly includes a 15% discount.
This product worked, I was surprised by just how many mosquitos and other flies it managed to handle, I go fishing often and usually get eaten alive by the bugs, I used this the last time I went and left with no bites. I do however wish there was a way to access the shockgrid since you need to brush or blow and hope the dead flies fall off.
A good handy little light with three levels of brightness with the added bonus of being a bug zapper. Mine lasted for a couple of days as just a bug killer. I only used the light for short periods so I’m not sure how long it lasts, but up to yet, I’m happy with this performance. The bulb cover is also soft, so on the occasions that you head butt it as I often do when camping, it doesn’t hurt. It’s also fairly easy to clean, which also tells you how effective the zapper is. Oh yes, it’s rechargeable.
These lamps are surprisingly bright, 2 were perfect for our large outdoor gazebo. Well use them in the caravan and awning too. The lamp cover is soft which gives a more diffuse light rather than “ow my eyes!”. Haven’t seen any flies get zapped but then haven’t seen any flying in either so can’t comment on that as yet.
This lamp works a treat and is very bright as a tent light or even as a torch for in the house. I’ve used this to remove flies, moths and other insect pests.
I would recommend this every day but have only gave it a 4 as its battery life is quite short and it’s difficult to clean the insects out (I used some needle tweezers). You’ll be amazed what insects are hovering around at night whilst you sleep.
Recommend this for the house/camping.
I have left reviewing this item until it had a proper testing. Now using it at a camp site I can say it works fantasticly well.
In one night it saved our skin from loads of mosquitoes. The battery lasts amazingly well used in zapper mode, the light which at first I thought wasn’t that bright has now surprised me. It’s great for doing things under, as it casts light down perfectly and with ample brightness in darker environments like a tent. The hook which some people say is flimsy can detach if you open it wrongly as it is slotted in, but I haven’t found it flimsy. If anything, it is the perfect size and design to hook onto a loop.
I will probably be purchasing another one of these, it’s a fanatastic product.
