With this set, I had all the gear to bleed the brakes to perfection. So it comes in a cardboard box, it does the job and keeps te pieces all together.
Everything you need, plus plenty of spares to misplaced! Can’t tell any difference in braking performance with the off brand oil. Slight learning curve to bleed brakes fully, but not at all difficult.
This seems to be a repackaging of a Chumxiny kit I’ve bought in the past (which came in a transparent plastic case, both shown side by side for comparison).
The syringes are sturdier in this newer kit and I have to say I prefer using them, to using a funnel.
The connectors are the usual yellow plastic with tiny O rings. These work fine for Shimano but from experience, there are so many variants of Tektro/TRP brakes out there, that you might not find something that’s a perfect fit. Irritatingly it seems to come down to whether it’s using a standard or fine pitched thread, and also the depth of the hole in which the bleed screw resides.
The fluid that comes with these is mineral oil so no use for brakes that require DOT fluid, but have had no issues with using this stuff in TRP, Tektro or Shimano. The stock fluid that came out of my Shimano brakes was less ‘pink’ and a clearer colour, but can’t see any major issues mixing the two providing they’re both mineral oil.
