Brought this as no fan in my kitchen and fed up with having to open all my windows fully when cooking, especially in winter!
Have it as ductless, one thing to point out is that it’s not as powerful in this mode.
Fairly straightforward to install by a qualified electrician, lucky that the bestie is one and knows what he’s doing !
However due to ceiling height, not alot of room to insert one upper chimney into lower part, so beware of this.
At first it’s really noisy but I think that was just because it’s new, seems to be better after a few uses.
Looks a treat and performs well, although I still need my small window open, it’s a huge improvement!
Lights are quite bright, so illuminates kitchen nicely…. ideal for a small/ medium sized kitchen especially if have it ducted to the outside.
Does the job though, packaged really well and all components included.
This has one of the highest displacement for all extractors I read about prior to purchase yet the noise is not deafening. Really good design.
The LED lights lifts up the kitchen’s ambience.
The toughened glass is very strong.
Installation:
The below are my gripes when it comes to installation. For units like this it would be nice have a template shipped with the product so the user can map it on the wall and decide where the bracket goes on the wall. In my case we had a wooden feature which was obstructing the vent.
The unit is quite heavy and fragile (think glass & filter panel) so preparation is key.
Pro tip: before installation use a big white paper (i have used wallpaper lining sheet) to trace the rear of the unit which will become your template.
Issue 2: There are no markings for handling on the unit. Its either toughened glass or at the bottom the filter cover, so you are left with very small contact area for lifting.
But once installed it stays in its place and looks beautiful.
Overall a good purchase if you can work around the installation issues.
