The 21″ Ring Light with Tripod & Phone Holders has been a fantastic addition to my setup for content creation. The large 7000LM brightness is perfect for illuminating my shots, whether I’m filming YouTube videos, doing makeup tutorials, or participating in Zoom meetings. The high CRI 95+ rating ensures that the light is true to color, which is essential for accurate and professional-looking results.
The included tripod is robust and adjustable, providing excellent stability and versatility. It’s a breeze to set up and adjust the height to achieve the perfect angle. The DSLR tripod head adds an extra layer of flexibility, allowing for smooth camera movements and precise adjustments. The phone holders are a great feature, accommodating both my smartphone and camera, making it easy to switch between devices depending on the shoot.
This ring light setup offers a perfect combination of brightness, flexibility, and convenience. It’s an excellent choice for anyone involved in video creation, makeup application, or any situation where good lighting is crucial. The sturdy tripod and high-quality light make it a reliable tool for achieving professional results.
Investing in a professional ring light like this can really make the difference in your created content, with this you are going to get the best lighting for your setup you would need and the price reflects this level of investment and at time of writing this review there is a 10 off voucher you can apply to bring this light to 80.
If you use a phone or DSLR Camera, this is a great ring light designed to get the best lighting for that method of streaming or video recording, I was also able to attach a webcam to the light for streaming, the diversity of this light which comes with all the attachments you need to get started right out of the box is amazing, capable of holding up to 3 phones especially, if you do Tiktok, Instagram reels or Youtube shorts especially with a high quality camera phone, all you need is right here. Powered by the mains as well so no fear of the light going off whilst in use, you have three options of white light from Natural, warm and cool to choose from and a remote control so you can control the light levels from where you are. I was also impressed with the design that allows heat to escape the ring light, something LED lights will certainly do over time is generate heat and this is designed so well to prevent that being an issue.
I found the stand to be sturdy enough to position in your setup and leave alone, with the remote being all you need to manage and the Bluetooth shutter device will pair with your devices in no time to enable remote photo taking as well. This is a full investment purchase but with the improvement to your content and all the options this has in the box, this could solve a multitude of areas of your content creating setup.
This selfie ring light came well packed in a big box. This is the biggest ring light I have had so far and I really like how the videos and photos come out with it. First of all I have to say that it was not difficult to assemble it and I like the fact that there are extra phone mounts and also one camera mount just in case I will need them. It seems to have good quality, the tripod is made of aluminum alloy, the phone and camera holder are very strong, the ring light are very bright and features 7000 lumen but they can be adjusted by the remote control that is included in the package. The package also includes a small selfie shutter with which we can control the selfie ring with bluetooth. I like, it is very professional and very useful for all those who are influencers or who may need it for make up or livestream and I think the price is fair.
I have set this up for use with my phone, I have not tried it with a camera or multiple phones.
Firstly, unpackage the stand and take it out.
Secondly, pull out the legs and turn the knob so you can stand it up.
Third, there are four column locks. You flip them open and pull to extend the stand as desired.
Fourth unpack the ring.
Fifth to install the ring light you just loosen the locking knob and place the ring on the stand and then tighten the locking knob.
Sixth if like me your just attaching one phone you get one of the three bendable stems, loosen the screw on a phone holder and push the ball end in and tighten the screw.
Seventh you screw the phone holder into the desired ring light hole and you are ready.
The rest is fairly easy all you need is to play around.
Got this ring light for my TikTok videos. The light itself is super bright – maybe too bright sometimes, but you can adjust it. Phone holder is handy, fits my iPhone no problem. The CRI thing they mention? No clue, but my videos look clearer, so that’s cool.
My big issue is the stand. It’s kinda wobbly and feels cheap. I’m always worried it’ll topple over. Also, setting it up is a bit of a pain.
On the plus side, my makeup videos look way better now. It’s good for the price, I guess, but don’t expect pro-level gear. Does the job for us regular folk starting out with content creation. Just be careful with that stand!
I have had the option to review ring lights before, and mostly, they have been OK, but usually fall short somewhere.
This has a massive 21 inch ring light with 560 LEDs providing you with three main colour options, cold white light, natural white, and warm white; there is a remote control to make using the ring light easier.
The light itself seems to be pretty well made, even though it is only plastic, it does feel less substantial than the tripod, but to be fair, it does the job and being lighter isn’t a bad thing.
The tripod is pretty sturdy, certainly better than many I have had with ring lights, probably due to it being Aluminium Alloy, and it can extend to 82 inches from a minimum of 48, this should be enough for all of your needs. obviously, the tripod will always be sturdier when not at full height.
It comes with a regular camera mount, and three phone mounts; I must be honest, I cannot really see why you need three phone mounts, but maybe if Vloggers or streamers are using it on multiple platforms at once .
There is also a selfie remote which is always useful so that you can remotely start recording or photo taking.
All in all this seems to be a pretty good ring light, certainly the best one that I have had, it even includes a carrying bag for keeping it all together (except the tripod).
In the package you get the following:
1 x 21 inch ring light
1 x Tripod
1 x Tripod head
1 x Hot shoe adapter
3 x Phone holder
1 x IR remote
1 x Bluetooth shutter release
1 x Carrying bag
1 x Power cord
1 x User manual
This kit consists of two bundled products, one is the tripod/monopod hybrid (I’ll explain) and the other is the LED ring light head.
The tripod mount is well constructed and engineered to provide a strong mount that folds into itself in a way that minimises its size. When extended, the mounted light stands at well over 6 feet. The base is a tripod foot which is fully adjustable to be used in different settings. The base is attached to a single pole constructed of 4 metal telescopic sections which allows for a fully adjustable height. Due to this mono pole construction for the main elevation it does have a wobble on if it is knocked, but won’t fall if the tripod foot section is extended wide enough.
The LED light head section is mains powered from a IEC C7 mains cable (more commonly known as a figure 8 plug) and provides an extremely bright light which will suit the needs of most home rooms or small to moderately sized photo studio. The light hue and brightness is controlled via 2 wrist dials on the inside of the ring and has a good selection of white light effects from warm to cold light conditions. There is also two handy USB-A power ports on the back to plug your photo kit into during use.
There are multiple phone mount brackets which are reasonable quality as well as a standard camera mount which is of a full metal construction that mounts to the shoe fixings on the base of the light ring.
The kit also includes a remote for the light and a Bluetooth remote for pairing to your phone/camera for remote shutter activation.
The kit is good although the light ring could be a better quality construction. I’m sure the manufacturer would market this as lightweight but it feels cheaply made compared to the tripod mount. Irrespective of this, it does perform well and offers a good light source for photos so gets full marks from me.
This is a big light ring, which is just what is needed to get a flat coverage when taking product pictures, and portraits or vlogging.
It needs a mains supply, so you will be limited to where you can plug into a 13A socket.
The supplied tripod is sturdy enough for this huge light, and the height that can be obtained is standard ceiling height – which should allow interior designers and estate agents to take decent pictures of interiors.
There is a carry bag provided – it is not padded which is a shame.
I have taken pictures of all the extras supplied and it is all described in the main body of the selling page.
The phone holder stalks are flexible – possibly a little too flexible as they can start to move under the weight of a phone when it is attached to them.
The light can be adjusted from warm to cold light and dim to exceedingly bright.
There are USB ports at the rear of the light, so any phones can be charged to ensure there is no problem with battery drainage on the phones.
I cannot see any option to save ‘presets’ on this light, which is a shame – however it is quite easy to make a note of the light settings as I tend to use specific lighting setups for specific photo shoots and I have a notebook that I record all the settings in – mainly in case I need to reshoot a couple of pictures!
The tripod is well made and provides a stable base – and the legs of the tripod can be splayed out quite wide to ensure further stability. The tripod extends very high, possibly higher than needed for most occasions and on full height it can be top heavy with the ring light attached to it.
The connection to the tripod is sufficient, but I would have liked it to be more of a standard tripod thread that attaches the ring light rather than the plastic ‘funnel and tighten’ type connection.
It must be emphasised how large this lighting ring is, so do double-check the size to make sure it is the right one for you. For me, the size is the great part about it and it ensures a wide spread of lighting.
An extremely competent lighting set up that should last for a long time.
