EPOMAKER 133-Key Double-shot Side-printed PBT Cherry Profile
EPOMAKER 133-Key Double-shot Side-printed PBT Cherry Profile Keycap Set for Mechanical Gaming Keyboard, Compatible with ANSI Layout, MX-Clone Switches Gateron/Kailh/Epomaker Switch (Sky Blue)
These keycaps take a unique approach to the design and I’m kinda liking it, but I’ll have to take time getting used to it. I rarely look at my keyboard when typing, but I look at it a lot more after using this.
The keys fit into my keyboard comfortability, although, the RGB does look less bright on these compared to mine. This could be due to the keys being on the side rather than on the face. I like them.
These EPOMAKER keycaps are fantastic! The double-shot PBT plastic feels very durable and the side-printed legends are a cool touch (though note these are not front-printed). They completely transformed the look of my keyboard. Here’s what to keep in mind:
Double-check Layout: Make sure you ordered the ANSI layout, as mentioned in the title. This set won’t fit UK ISO keyboards.
Side-Printed Legends: These keycaps have the legends printed on the sides, not the tops. This can take some getting used to, especially for touch typists.
Overall, these are high-quality keycaps that elevate the look and feel of your keyboard. Just be sure you order the right layout and are comfortable with side-printed legends.
I adore the colour of the blue keycaps, makes me think of the coast of Greece. They fit perfectly as they should on my keyboard and I had no problems putting these on. The way they are laid out inside the box makes it very easy too. Typing on them is equally as great, I couldn’t be happier. Love them!
This is a set of 133 replacement keys for mechanical keyboards from the EPOMAKER Store.
The keys are available in blue or grey.
Inside the pack are 133 keys for all characters printed on the front of each key.
There is sufficient keys within the pack for a full size keyboard although there is no key puller with the set which I think it should have in the pack as well.
Once installed on the keyboard the keys are great although I did find illumination through the front of the keys is quite dim.
Overall this is a good replacement set of keys that are well made and available in blue or grey.
I’ve had my trusty old Razer Blackwidow Chroma keyboard for around 8 or 9 years now, and every few years, I like to swap the keys with fresh ones as they just get dirty & nasty.
Last time I swapped the keys was around 2 years ago, at the cost of around 45 at the time for the full UK set. Instead of going for Razer keys again, I thought I’d try something new, and had the opportunity to get these for review.
Fitting these was as easy as any other keys – these did not come with a key removal tool, however I just used one from my previous Razer PBT keycap set and pulled the keys out very easily. The majority of dirt was on the function row, as well as the number pad, and I thought to myself “how about I try something different”, so I decided to leave some of the original razer keys in, and replaced the function row, as well as the macros and outside number pad keys, and I think it looks pretty cool!
Now, bear in mind, my keyboard’s keys LED’s are north-positioned, so I’d assume that it might not work so well considering the symbol cut-outs are at the bottom, but it does work pretty well (see pictures). I can see all of my key symbols quite well.
The quality of the keys are great, and feel just as good as the Razer ones in terms of weight, shape and smoothness, although some are a tiny bit shorter height-wise. Not really an issue for me.
My plan is that as each section becomes irreversibly dirty/damaged, I’ll replace entire sections until eventually the entire keyboard is using the new set.
Now note, my keyboard has a set of macro keys to the right; this keyboard doesn’t have direct replacements for those so I’m currently using numbers 1-5 designed for the number pad which look fine and work fine.
Also note, the function keys either show the F1-F12 keys, or the multimedia shortcut keys, not both – you get both sets, so choose wisely. I use WeMod quite a lot, so knowing the F key number is important, more so than the volume ones!
his is a nice set of keys that arrive in a nice folding clamshell case to keep all the keys nicely arranged to make installing them a lot easier. a lot of options are included to cater for different sized enter keys etc.
the tops of the keys are blank and the key lettering is on the front side and designed to allow the keyboards lighting to shine through to illuminate it and make it legible. sadly if your keyboard does not have south facing leds on each key not enough light will make it through the lettering and it makes reading the keys almost impossible. so south facing leds are a must.
in general though the keys feel nice to type on and i like the grey colouring a lot. all around it’s a nice set so long as you can accomodate its limitations.
Really nice colours, and they fit my keyboard lovely, the led’s shine through (would be quite hard to read the letters without though and they feel nice while typing! Theyre nicely packaged and all laid out nicely to make swapping them a simple matter!
I got the keys to replace an aging ABS set, i had heard a lot of goot things about PBT and after using these i can see why!
They feel better than the ABS keys, sound better, and should last a lot longer! The colouring on the keys is amazing and i had zero imperfections on them!
The set includes lots of options for layouts and key sizes like different height and colour home end PU and PD keys, also a few different sized shifts ETC, so all in they are a great set, especially for the price
Sadly my keyboard has LED’s at the top of the switches, so the light doesn’t shine very well through the keys, However at night in the dark you can still see them and in the day, so long as the room is well lit, you can easily see the lettering on all the keys. (easier to see them if you turn off the keyboards lighting!
If you have a UK layout you will be missing a few keys and sadly have the wrong icons on the number keys, however this doesn’t bother me and i knew this when ordering. If the set came with the UK keys as well these would be 5 stars and i think they would be a fantastic option for people wanting PBT key caps in the “stealth” style
These are really nice caps, they look great and feel really good quality. Unfortunately, I thought my keyboard had south facing lighting, it doesn’t as a result nothing shines through. That mistake is on me. The problem that is highlighted though is that unless the lighting on your keyboard is really bright, you cannot see the legends on the keys as the contrast between the legend and the cap is too low.
Other than the contrast issue, these are really good caps.
