Best Extension Ever, I wish I could afford more. Love the individual switches and where they are placed, not on the top, they are on the side, plus the 3 USB Slots just makes it the best one ever. I would definitely recommend. Thank You.
This extension cord arrived packaged in solid cardboard packaging just large enough for the product – no waste, well protected. The product is as seen in the photos with coloured switches and the USB-C flanked by two USB-A slots. The front of the panel is a pleasant and functional textured plastic surface, while the sides are smooth plastic. The cord and plug seem good quality, and a spare 13A fuse was included in the packaging. All-in-all, so satisfied with the purchase that I’m ordering another for the home office. Though I don’t have a lot of USB-C devices now, it seems wise to future-proof with something like this that will, hopefully, last for many, many years.
This is a fantastic stylish power strip with a very well though out design. Well spaced individually switched sockets with indicators, a convenient front access set of USB power ports (some strips like this are on the sides so inconvenient). Better still the USB power supply is also switched so doesn’t have to be left on.
It can be mounted via the usual slots on the back. The block itself feels sturdy, the flex is a good thickness and has some strain relief. The compact fitted plug is fused and marked BS1363 so UK compliant.
There is even a spare 13A fuse supplied. hopefully never needed. Another good point is unlike many blocks, its not heat welded, its held together with security screws meaning for those qualified to do so (like me), it may be serviceable to some degree.
The current price is 17 quid for the 1.5M which is not unreasonable at all.
This would (in my case will) make a great workshop workbench block, being able to turn equipment on/off individually and powering USB items and tools, the illuminated indicators giving clear safety warning of what is on.
So why 4 stars not 5? well there is one concern, something is rattling around in mine, I can hear it slide one end to the other. What is it? without taking it apart I can’t know if its just a bit of plastic moulding, a stray screw or a component from the USB supply. I don’t like an unknown object rattling around in a block packed with bare electrical bars inside!
Its probably going to bother me enough sooner or later to have to dismantle and investigate. We will see.
Its a pity as it would be an easy 5 star otherwise as its such a good product.
