These LCD drawing tablets will satisfy kids’ desire for screens whilst also providing a reassuringly creative experience to keep parents happy. This is like the modern version of the old “magic slate” toys of my youth but so much cooler. You simply use the included stylus to mark on a black screen, and the marks magically show up in ombre rainbow tones! It erases with the touch of a button (or there’s a lock button to save designs for longer) and has a replaceable battery (included). They are very slim and lightweight too, so ideal for keeping kids occupied when travelling or away from home. At 12.99, this one is a bit pricier than others I have seen but it’s also much, much bigger. The colours are nice and cheerful and the larger drawing area justifies the price, it’s just a shame that the stylus is only stored in a clip rather than attached with a cord as on other models I have seen. Otherwise, a really nice, clever toy that should satusfy parents and kids alike.
