What are the special features of the sticks?

Does it have analog triggers?

What’s the 2 quick latches for?

How many rumble motors in G7 SE?

This is a really solid gamepad, with a decent software suite and good credentials across the board.

Starting with the general feel, it’s pretty light weight, but not so light it feels cheap. The textured plastic on the back feels good, as does the very slightly textured faceplate.

The latency is very good, clocking in around 2 ms, which is what should be expected for a wired controller, and the polling rate can reach the promised 1000 Hz (but that feature is still experimental and blocks use of the audio jack (not really an issue as it can still be used at 500 Hz, and honestly most people wouldn’t notice the difference)).

The sticks are also very good; they have a medium-light resistance. I swapped them to my preference within the app of raw input and absolutely no deadzones, and centring was still good with no drift at all to speak of. The ciculatory test also showed a realiable and consistent range for the entirety of the stick’s travel.

The buttons are nice-feeling memory buttons, along with the d-pad, all of which work well.
The same can be said for the 2 rear buttons.

The triggers also feel good with what I would describe as a medium resistance, again having realistic and full actuation throughout their travel.

The software is really nice, offering any of the basic tuning you would want for a controller, but I would have liked to see the ability to tune the linearity of the sticks.

Overall a reliable and usable controller, my only real criticism is the price, as for basically the same price you can pick up gamersirs own wireless equivalent of this controller.

The control was easy to set up. Just plug in and play. I found the control to be low in weight and a bit lighter than the standard x box ones. The control was comfortable to us and the stipple pattern on the handles felt nice and ensured a good grip. The connection was always good and there was never any delay in the game response. Overall a good controller but for the money I’d probably just get a standard x box wireless one.

I mostly play driving games on my PC and my old controller had some play in the sticks so I thought I would give this one a go. Firstly all the buttons feel positive, the triggers at the back have a nice feel and are progressive, there is little to know dead area on the sticks so all in all this is a great joy pad. A+

My son has been using this on his PC for the last week. He loves it. What he really likes are the buttons on the rear of it which he uses when gaming. He said it’s as equally good as the official controller. Obviously the proof will be in 6 months, but the official ones break down too, so this is worth a try. It comes with a long USB cable which was very handy. Overall, he’s very happy with it.

I ordered this as I was sick of having to replace the wandering thumb sticks (due to stick drift) on my genuine Microsoft controller, .
This controller is a little smaller and substantially lighter (no battery pack) than the genuine Microsoft controller but it is so much more responsive, the speed and accuracy of the thumb sticks (being hall effect) is much better, the trigger buttons are a little noisier than genuine but if like me you play with a headset you probably won’t notice.
The charge/play cable supplied with the controller has more than plenty length (3m) and is heavily braided so should last without any issues however this does mean the cable is quite rigid and can take a little getting used to.
I haven’t had chance to test the rear buttons on the controller as many of the games I play don’t require any extra controls and I’ used to the current configuration.
The removable/replaceable face plates are very simple to remove as they are only held in place by magnets however I have struggled to find any actual replacement available to buy, also the added bonus of having the removable faceplate means replacing worn thumb sticks takes seconds without and real disassembly of the controller.
Price wise, this is currently listed at at 49.99 which for a wired controller is a little expensive it does have full hall effect triggers and thumb stick which very few others (wired or wireless) come with including all the Microsoft controllers even the elite versions, however I did see this on Gamesir’s website at under 40 so well worth comparing prices.
Overall if you’re willing to spend 50 for a controller and you are happy with a wired version then I very much doubt you’ll be disappointed as its a fantastic controller.

My first impressions of this controller were that it felt a bit light, as it is a wired controller is has no internal battery so if you’re used to using a wireless controller – the weight difference is immediately noticeable.

However – it’s not too light, and once you start using it it feels great in the hand and the lightweight nature of it is probably an advantage for extended play.

I use this with my PC and it’s not just a good controller, it’s an EXCELLENT controller. I’ve come to love the weight of the thing, it doesn’t feel like empty plastic – there’s clearly a lot going on in this (it has rumble effects, etc) and it’s vert responsive. I actually prefer wired controllers over wireless anyway for use with my PC as I’m sat next to it and it becomes plug-and-play with no worries about batteries dying!

The faceplate comes off (it’s held magnetically) in case you want to get different plates for different coloured looks, however I don’t think I’ll do that – it looks fine as it is.

So this has everything you want from a controller in terms of sticks, buttons, and paddles. The build quality is excellent and the performance is as good as any I’ve ever used. I strongly recommend this if you are after a controller for your PC.

The pad comes well packed. I’ve been using this gamepad for the past couple of weeks for Diablo 4 on a Windows 11 PC. I have to say, I’ve really enjoyed a lot of aspects to this pad. The HAL sticks and triggers are sublime and really the standout feature that I would argue place this as a superior pad when compared to official Xbox gamepads. They are buttery smooth and a joy to game with.

There were only a few annoyances when working with it on a PC. Firstly, the pad does not automatically turn on when the PC is turned on, which is unlike many other gamepads I’ve tried (even others from GameSir themselves). The only other slight annoyances was the differences between the rumble on the left and right part of the pad. The software did allow you to change the strength of the palm and trigger rumble in the software available on Windows Store which did mitigate this somewhat, but not completely.

So, in conclusion, a couple of annoyances, but this does not subtract from what is a fantastic gamepad.
