This is a cheap pack of low capacity AA batteries for low draw appliances, just like the solar lights you use outdoors.
If your solar stuff ever stops working it’s usually because the batteries are knackered. You can often just unscrew the case and swap the batteries out.
These batteries come recommended from me as they’ll work fine in any AA socket solar outdoor item.

I’ve mainly been using these indoors and charging in my standard charging. But I have tested them on solar lights and was happy with the results. Great for lower power devices like remotes but can run down fast in other devices.
These batteries worked great for my solar lights on the balcony which after a year of usage now only stay lit for an hour after a day’s worth of charging, though I had to partially dismantle the light to get these in!
So far so good, after letting it settle for a few days, it seems to run for 4-5 hours which is great.
These are also working fine for my soundbar remote, which barely uses any power as it’s used perhaps once per day.
I have a few solar lights in my garden and after a couple of years the battery performance really declines and they only work for a couple of hours in the evening. Replacing the batteries with these had given them a new lease of life and brought the light back in to my garden. I’ve also used them in a rechargeable muse on my computer and they perform excellently, so good for general use too.
HiQuick Ni-MH AA Rechargeable Batteries (AA, 1.2V) arrived sealed and well-packed. The batteries are perfect for solar lights and charge very well. They are not as powerful for remote-controlled cars but work excellently in low-power usage devices. Good value for money.
I’ve used a set of these in a small set of garden lights and in a couple of remotes and they work fine. They’ve charged OK in my standard charger and using the solar charger in the lights seems to work well. I’m getting enough to have them on for a few hours each night (they go off so might well last longer) after a day in the light. I’d like to say sunshine but it’s been mixed. In the remote they’re working fine.
They are a decent price for rechargeable batteries as long as you go in with an awareness that they can’t compete with high power ones.
This 12 pack of rechargeable AA batteries from HiQuick is a perfectly good, if fairly bog-standard set of rechargeable batteries. They function perfectly well in terms of charging, they function perfectly well when charged and being used as batteries in devices. Of course as with all rechargeable batteries there is an issue of how long they last but this is true of all batteries in the market, and is not exclusive to these HiQuick batteries.
I’m not sure if it makes any difference but I should point out that I do not have a HiQuick branded battery recharger. The one I have here is another brand altogether. I have no idea if that makes any difference or not.
The batteries arrive in a cardboard outer box and then there are 3 sets of 4 batteries that are vacuum sealed with plastic and then stood on top of each other to fit into the box. Also included is a small information/instruction sheet. When I say “small” I mean literally small – you may need a magnifying glass to read it I am unfortunately not joking there!
Overall I’m happy enough. Nothing fancy here but pretty easy and reliable here, at least so far so good.
