I had to replace my smart watch and thought, in the interim, I’ll get a reasonably priced analog watch. Wearing it, I’ve changed my mind. This is an excellent watch. For me, it’s the perfect size face and easy to read. The “Day” and “Date” are easy to read off the face too, plus, it glows in the dark…and who doesn’t love that?

I can’t speak for if it’s water proof, because I haven’t brought it for that purpose and have no plans to try, but on the whole, this is an excellent watch and definitely worth the money.

Bought this watch as I wanted a clear, reasonably priced watch that looks great and I am very pleased with it. The clear face makes it easy to tell the time at a glance and the Matt black finish makes it look very military. The supplied strap is adequate but not great so I would recommend getting a different strap. This is the second of these watches I have owned and I am very pleased with it. Highly recommended.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersWanted an analogue watch for a change and I’m very pleased with this one. I’ve had it for a couple weeks at least now, and have broken it in. It fits comfortably on my wrist and keeps time well. It is simple to change date and time and looks really good. It claims that it has a sturdier glass on it that protects from scratches and i was intrigued because I work in a shop and my watches get scratched up, not dramatically but they do. So far, it’s lived up to the claim. Ive gently knocked it and scraped it against poles, shelf edges and doorways etc and it’s just as pristine as when I got it. The watch face glows nicely though I noticed it took a few days for the watch to start glowing at full force. The first couple of nights, I could see it but mildly, ie I had to hold it up to my face to really make it out, and now I can see it quite comfortably from a normal distance. It may not be the same for you, but I mention it only to say that if it doesn’t seem that bright for that long at first, give it a few days.
My only niggle is the the watch band has two grips to hold it in place but only one of them moves and it always slides back does a little, meaning the end of the band starts to curl and catch on clothes but that’s a very minor thing and I genuinely like the watch too much for it to be a major issue.
Looks good, feels good, has the day and date and overall, is a really good watch.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersI collect various, but cheap, watches as a small hobby. I don’t get out much as I suffer from progressive MS.
I bought this watch to see what “Infantry” watches are like. I have been left with a very good, positive impression of a fine watch in a strong case with a comfortable strap and strong pins holding the strap on.
I am at a loss to understand most of the “one star” comments: I suspect some stem from ignorance, some from misuse, but those about the user’s ability to read the time at night I can’t support or disagree with.
The strap, I suspect, would often be too tight (I was once told that the optimum tightness can be gauged by being able to insert the index finger of the other hand under the strap). The watch hasn’t got a “bezel” as one reviewer mentioned. And I found the pins holding the strap on to be able to resist my most active efforts to detach the strap so I could replace it with an easier-to-use (my MS makes strap buckles hard to use on any watch) metal strap.
I think that it would be difficult to find a sturdier, better made or designed watch for the very attractive price!
After I’d had, and enjoyed, the watch for a while, I changed the nylon strap for a metal one, obtainable from Amazon – well worth the search for it. Silver outside black enhances the watch. I’d include the picture I have of it if I could work out how!
I liked the accuracy with which the second hand keeps to the markings on the watch face. Its performance compares well with other watches I’ve acquired for my small collection! My longer experience with the watch convinces me that, for the remarkable price, you’d be hard pressed to find better value for money!

Golden Review Award: 60 From Our UsersSo let’s break this review up. If you’re looking at this, you’re probably after a cheap or reasonably priced watch that you can use day to day. One that can withstand wear and tear and also be waterproof enough to handle being dropped in a bath.

    This fits the bill.

The packaging is nice and minimal and quite easy to unbox. The strap is a black NATO and this is surprisingly comfortable. Usually I change my watch bracelets to add more comfort or style but this one is more comfortable than I had expected. I also like that the pin holes have a surrounding leather border which not only adds a textural stylistic difference, but also means better protection over time. Usually with NATO straps the holes wear over time and can even rip.

Coming to the watch face itself I can’t really say much more to what everyone has already said. Yes it’s easy to read but this is the case with all field watches. I personally like the long red second hand as it increases legibility as well as contributes to its overall style. I’m a big fan of the black and red colourway generally. Coming to the hands they have a decent watch lume, enough that you can comfortable tell the time in the dark.

My tiny gripe is the “Quartz” on the bottom of the dial. I would’ve preferred this be omitted because the font isn’t great and would probably make the watch look a bit more minimal.

On the whole I’m very very impressed. A great watch dial combined with a comfortable strap under 30 makes this great value for money. I’d highly recommend this as a beginner field watch or even as an everyday watch that can take a bit of a beating.

I use it as my watch for cycling for now 🙂
