I haven’t bought the camera for home security more to find out what has dug a hole into my garden and have now discovered through night vision I have a fox, a badger and a 5 am cat caller. It is easy to set up . I use a SD card to save recordings then I transfer to my phone . In some ways I was pleased with the battery lasting a few days but now I have re read the spec it looks like it should last longer but as I move mine about in position not a problem as it is accessible. For the price I paid (30 ) I am really impressed with it. It does seem very sensitive and in the morning I wake up to lots of red bars showing activation eg ) 20 or so but when I view only 4 recorded movements past of creatures . But a real treat to watch our night time visitors .
Very easy to set up, great image and sound quality, great battery life, the night vision is also very good!! Notifies me when there is motion detected – overall a fantastic way to keep your home secure and has everything you would look for in a camera!! Highly recommended fantastic product!
Could not recommend this camera any more!! Amazing piece of equipment, very easy to set up and install, the video/picture quality is high which is great, the sound is very clear and it definitely gives you an extra sense of security. Will be recommending to all my friends and family thank you very much guys!
Update to my original review – after contacting customer services,had to wait a few days for a reply to my email,they were more than helpful and sent me a new camera with no quibbles,hopefully this one continues to work as its a great camera when it does (changed from 2 * to 4*
bought this camera in november 23 to look over my driveway as my son had his car vandalised earlier in the year.
Started off working perfect,picture quality is great and battery life is adequate and very easy to install. BUT – since the last 2/3 weeks it’s stopped detecting motion during darkness (which is the main reason I bought it) works perfect during daylight hours,so been in touch with tbe company using the app and to be honest everything they said to do I had already tried,not very helpful really,so now I’m stuck with a security camera that doesn’t work during the night.
Be warned people
The app is simple, you can watch a live feed, and speak through the speaker. It will alert you whenever there’s movement, and if you pay the 1.80 a month, you can go back, rewatch, and download any of the footage captured in the past month.
I see some people complaining about battery life, saying it only lasted a week or two. This is absolutely not true, maybe they’re putting it facing a busy road so it’s constantly going off. I put mine in my porch so it only goes off when someone is actually in the porch. After over 6 weeks of continuous use, the battery had dropped to less than 20% so I recharged it. It lasted much longer than expected.
However there is one big flaw to the product. It only works properly with one person’s phone. I wanted my whole family to be able to use the app, so I used the share feature with them. But it only let’s them watch the live feed and get notifications, they can’t see any of the recorded footage, which is the most important part, only i can see that. If their app goes off, by the time they load it up, whoever was there is now gone, and they can’t see the footage. Surley everyone using the app linked with my account should he able to fully use it. I would have given 5 stars if not for this. I even tried logging into my own account on their phones, but accounts only work on one phone at a time, so it logs me out on my phone.
