Charging speed
The charging speed that you will get from the K&F Concept Charging Adapter Base is identical to the charging speed that you’d have when you just had the DJI USB extension handle on, so you will not lose any of the charging speed benefits that the original DJI handle presents.
You have the option of using either the inch thread or the traditional GoPro style mounting method, which I personally think is very beneficial, especially if you want to add a duel cold shoe mount for a light and also shotgun mic along with adding the tripod or selfie stick to use as well.
This would most definitely be one to add to your Osmo Pocket 3 collection, and I would highly recommend the K&F Concept Charging Adapter Base to anyone who has this amazing device.
An easy 5 out of 5 stars from me
Nicely made accessory that allows you to charge the Osmo from the rear without adding the bulky extension. It also fits straight into my tripod and has the action camera two prongs on the base so you can easily attach it to existing action camera accessories. Great for the Osmo.
Let me start by saying this is a great quality product. All-metal, ergonomic, refined. But it’s a lot of money for such a small thing. Is it worth it?
– It helps the Pocket 3 stand up a touch more stablely than it does alone
– It provides a 1/4 20 mounting screw on the base…. which ter pocket 3 has anyway
– It provides a USB-C charging point…. which the Pocket 3 has anyway.
– It provides a conversion option to an action-cam mounting system.
So really, the value here is the last bit – an action cam mount. They do give you the mount too. Disappointly it’s the standard brittle cheapish-ish plastic mount that seems to be generic, rather than something if a higher quality like the base plate. Frankly it feels like a generic one they purchased elsewhere and bundled in the box.
The action cam mount is sping loaded to snap back to flat. It can be a little difficult to pull both out because as you let go of one side to open the other, the first one snaps close again. A button to flip them out would be nice.
Conclusions
Overall its a nice well made product. They cut corners with the plastic action cam mount but you can survive. It’s just…. a lot of money for something that doesn’t give you more than just being a conversion plate to action cam mount.
One of those products you wouldn’t realise how useful it is until you have one.
For me it solves a big problem, I can now use my Osmo Pocket 3 on my tripod using an arca swiss mount. Not only that, it has a pass through USBC so I can either charge it at the same time or add an external microphone – perfect!
The way they have incorporated a screw thread hidden in the base is genius so you can attached it to arms, selfie poles or generic tripods etc.
The fold down arms are cool so you can attach it to a go-pro style click mount or the regular DJI mounts that come with the action cameras. My only gripe with it is it can be slightly fiddly to get attached as they are magnetic and want to retract. Just a minor thing nothing to worry about.
With some of these aftermarket products you always worry about how sturdy it mounts to the camera. This is aluminium and you get confidence that it has attached firmly, and you can also clearly see it with the arms being bright orange!
It comes with its own action camera style mount and screw thread.
It has a perfectly flat base so now finally, you can stand your camera up without a tripod on a table.
And so for 18.99 with a 10% code, I think this is great value for what is a very expensive camera.

The unit continues the very well crafted K&F design.
Whilst my Pocket did come with a add on base to allow for charging when mounted on a tripod, it is something of a clunky affair, a very lightweight plastic cube which, whilst matching the gimbal and being useful as an extension handle, isn’t particularly stable if stood.
This K&F base is a much more solid affair being of all metal construction plus in addition to the quarter 20 mount on the bottom there are also a pair of fold out fingers allowing it to mount on pretty much any go-pro compatible mount.
This will be a much used item in my kit bag.
It just so happens that I’ve needed a little stand exactly like this one after putting up a display unit for my drones and camera stuff. This is perfectly sized and Arca compatible, so it’ll clamp right onto your Arca swiss tipod head with ease.
Featuring what seems to be an all metal construction, the quality of this little base is absolutely sublime. It clips right to the Osmo without any fuss and the USB-C port now accessible from the rear means you’re not lying the camera down on a table to charge it – a big gripe I’ve always had as you were often resting it on the gimbal.
I wasn’t expecting the additional GoPro clamp bits, it seems K&F might want you to consider using some of their other accessories like the shoulder or wrist straps. I already have a load of these so whilst I’m thankful for yet more GoPro compatible mounts for my Osmo case, I didn’t need these ones.
Much more compact and robust than the genuine Osmo Pocket 3 extension handle, this slick looking aluminium adaptor moves the USB-C port around to the front for easy charging while freestanding or on a tripod. It also adds the same 1/4 tripod socket, Arca-Swiss mounting functionality and a GoPro style claw adaptor. Two “fingers” fold down from below and are a little fiddle to insert into the adaptor until you’ve done it a few times as they want to lie flat as soon as you let them go.
It mounts the base of the Pocket 3 with a satisfying click and feels precision made. A silicone pad between the adaptor and Pocket three reduces the risk of marking it as do the rounded orange locking clips on either side. Much shorter than the genuine extension but geared more toward charging and mounting than ease of holding where the original handle has the edge. Slightly wider than the original handle thanks to the Arca-Swiss compatibility it still fits in my carry case which is a big deal for me. Another nice K&F Concept accessory has found a place in my photo-video gear.
