Great size for little hands to play and carry anywhere as they are not so big or tiny. With cute accessories to play and fins that changes colour. Packaging is nice and well presented but needs grown ups to unbox it. My little nieces 5 and 7 yo love it and would like to collect them all. Perfect gifting ideas for little girls for Birthdays or Christmas especially for LOL Dolls fans and collectors.
Pros:
The fin is flexible, and that’s a fun way to have it, as it can be manipulated into all sorts of positions, which really does help foster imagination during play.
The accessories are really well done, fitting perfectly with the mermaid theme that Lana creates.
A definite must-have for my daughters, who are huge L.O.L. Surprise! fans.
This doll is built for some rough and enthusiastic play that will make the fun last longer.
Verdict:
I got a Mermaid Serena Finn for my daughters, and they were absolutely L.O.L. mad, they adore her! They have a play bath, and are delighted with the use of this doll where the colour-changing tail changes to purple in cold water and having a fin that moves around, provides an interactive experience. The beautiful accessories with striking moulding indeed make her a great addition to the collection. All in all, it is a great toy for sparking creativity and imaginative play.
There isn’t much to say about LOL dolls, my youngest is obviously obsessed with them so there’s that. This particular toy engages her more as the tail changes colour with cold water so that’s a good distraction when i’m doing her hair in the bathroom on a morning, other than that the little accessories are cute and keep her occupied for a bit.
Our daughter absolutely loves L.O.L Surprise dolls and when this came up for order we had to purchase. As per usual, this is a quality product that looks exactly as you’d expect it to based off of the advertisements / pictures in the item description. I do always feel that there could be more of an effort on the manufacturers part to use less plastic when it comes to packaging though as there is often a LOT of wasted plastic wrapping which I believe is not the easiest thing to recycle. This aside though, the toy itself is fun and our daughter loves the new styles available. Super happy!
LOL Dolls are not just blind bag babies anymore, there are everything and everywhere. This ‘Mermaid Serena Finn’ is part of their Tweens range, which means that they can create some larger dolls that will appeal to a child as they get a little older. The cute style and mermaid option does mean that it still appeals to the younger child, but they are bigger than the other LOL characters we have.
This ‘Mermaid’ is your classic mermaid doll, but with the LOL makeover. The character has a larger head and eyes and you get some accessories and a cascade of hair to be played with. It is a lighter doll as the tail is designed to go in water and changes colour. The children love this and it makes an ideal bath toy, but you can play with it out of the bath too.
It is all well made and not overly expensive. LOL fans will love the fact that it looks and feels like the same brand, but you can get similar toys like the Barbie version. It won’t take long before the hair starts to look like a rat’s nest if you keep the doll in the bathroom.
This toy was an instant hit. Aside from looking great, it’s good quality. The colour-changing mermaid tail work well. I like that it’s not as big as some similar figures are so takes up less space. There’s such a wide range of other figures and accessories in the range which is great.
My 6 year old adores this LOL doll and makes bath time a pleasure now. The doll has been used as a reward for hair washing days.
The doll is well made and comes with sunglasses and head band accessories.
Dip the dill in the water and watch the mermaid tail change colour, the tail also has a moving manual swimming action that you can flip back and forth to pretend she is swimming.
My 8 year old is still crazy about LOL – so was excited to review this.
The fins move – and change colour, dip from warm water to cold water to see the ‘magic’ colour change.
Little accessories to style your doll – who I’m informed is called Serena Finn – and now she wants the others in the collection.
Great for little LOL fans – and is already booked in for bathtime later.
Would recommend and would make a nice gift for any fan.
All that hair my little girl about to plait that, then give it a dive in the bath. Lovely LOL doll. 4 stars…..only because of the physical stress of removing this thing from it’s box (lot of waste)
