This is a great little base that I use with my monopod. It is small enough to fit in my jacket pocket and I carry it everywhere so that it’s always on me if needed.

All the important parts are nicely finished metal and it has a premium feel, although it’s much lighter than you might expect. Adjustments are easy and intuitive.

I am using this with a compact DSLR and 45mm lens, and it’s up to the job with no issues for stability.

The price of 21 isn’t cheap, but perfectly reasonable for kit of this quality.

We use a gimble camera to film our you tube channel. This tripod provides a really stable strong base.
The feet are nice and large and click into place. they do not bends up until you unclip them.
This makes the tripod really secure. The red nut on the base can be undone to allow the tripod to be angled over.
so if you are on uneven ground or a steep gradient this can accomodate it.
We are really loving this base. it is far supierior to the little plastic ones that come supplied with the camera kits.
great piece of kit and a really good price.

5.0 out of 5 stars Provides a very stable platform.

i have started creating videos using my drones and cameras.

The footprint of a normal tripod is way too wide to use in a crowded place , and while a monopod can work well, you need something to ground it. This is perfect for my needs. The build is excellent, its durable and it’s lighter than i expected and small enough to toss into the case.

I have purchased and mounted a ballhead on top for a great low angle camera shot. It’s not cheap but it’s rock solid and versatile.

The Manbily M-2 Mini Tripod Base is a tiny tripod with big potential. Ultra-portable, it folds up small and light for travel. It even doubles as a mini tripod for cameras! Despite its size, it’s surprisingly sturdy with a 20 tilt and 360 rotation for precise shots. Universally compatible, it works with most monopods and camera setups. A must-have for any photographer or videographer!

Monopods are great when you can’t lug a full heavy tripod, but they have quite a few limitations.
Add this little accessory to your kit, it won’t take much space but remove most of these issues.
It unfolds very neatly and snaps into place. and has the right sized bolt to screw the monopod on (I had never noticed mine had a fixing, and assumed the bolt would be the standard photo size, but not so, and you can’t use it with other photo kit like a flat tripod sadly).
A neat piece of kit that will be used heavily here

The ‘Manbily Mini Tripod Base for Monopods, 3/8 Screw’ arrived in a printed box.

What I like about this tripod is how low it is, and with the screw thread being adjustable for vertical, I can correct for uneven surfaces. By screwing a 3/8 to 1/4 adaptor to the thread I can then mount an Arca Swiss type quick release clamp which then allows me to attach any of my cameras that have a compatible quick release plate. I could have screwed the clamp direct to the 3/8 as they have removable inserts but then I would have needed a 3/8 lock nut to stop the clamp rotating. With this combination I now have my camera just a few inches above the surface for low level shots.

5.0 out of 5 stars Sturdy base. And good for low level shots when using suitable fittings.

When I first received this monopod base I was disappointed – my own fault as I had not realised the thread was 3/8″ not 1/4″.

I found an adaptor on Amazon – (Camera Screw Adapter Thread, 1/4″ Male to 3/8″ Female) so all good. (See pictures – note that these adaptors are not included with the Manbily Tripod Base – I needed to purchase these in addition to the monopod base).

Once I had the adaptor, I found the Manbily Tripod Base very good indeed.

This is a sturdy base that will make your monopod into a decent tripod without the extra size that is normally associated with tripods.

I have an Insta 360 monopod/selfie stick and this (now) fits the Manbiiy Tripod base very well.

There is a large red thumbwheel on the Manbily that when loosened allows the monopod shaft to be tilted (up to 20). It’s a nice feature to allow you to get a level shot – or you can play around with various quirky angled photos.

You will need to press the release button on each foot to allow the legs to be folded – a nice safety feature that ensures the legs stay locked in the ‘out’ position until you deliberately unlock them and fold them back in.

At 25 (with a 20% discount at the time of review), this is a well-made product that will help you enhance your photographic expeditions – or family gatherings when you want to take a picture of all involved.

5.0 out of 5 stars Solid base for monopod - with a 3/8" thread not 1/4"
