This review is for the Mingfuxin Portable Range Hood. I’ve been looking for this for a while. Since I love taking pictures of the food I cook and often cook hot pot and bbq, it’s really amazing. It is made from good quality material. And it comes in a nice packaging box too. It is easy to use and very helpful. It helps me take pictures of food without smoke disturbing me while taking pictures. Very satisfied. Recommended.
So truth be told, I grabbed this device without really thinking about it. If something shows up on Vine you don’t have a lot of time to ponder as someone else may nab it or it evaporates into the ether.
Your kitchen probably has a hood anyway, but sometimes that might not be enough, or it might be on the blink, or you need one for Chinese hotpot (it was the latter we used it for, but more on that later), so a portable one might be a good buy.
This Mingfuxin range hood is small, it looks like a larger IP camera, ok, a very, very large IP camera, but it is very easy to set up, and light in the hand.
Once up and running you can change the height and angle of the head to suit, but we find that at full height and a slight pointing down angle works great for when we’re doing hotpot.
So, when using it, you can visibly see the steam (well water vapour as steam is invisible) being dragged into the device, instead of being scattered all around the kitchen. So you don’t have to have your windows open and exposing yourself to the elements and a plague of insects.
This portable range hood is great. Yes, you have to clean it frequently, there are filters in there that are easy to pop out and are simple to clean and slot back in. However, its a small price to pay to decrease the smoke/smell/oils/grease floating about in the kitchen.
