This racing wheel is relatively easy to set up and connect. It’s not as easy to use as there are quite a lot of functions. It feels reasonably robust and works well.
I have really enjoyed using this steering wheel and pedals set. We have been testing it out on Race Room Experience which supports it fully.
We connected to a PC via a Bluetooth 5 dongle. It took a few attempts but finally connected and after a couple of disconnects it settled down and remained consistently connected for hours of play.
You can notice a very slight lag with the BT but itis almost imperceptible and it isn’t necessarily anything to do with the device, it is actually highly likely to have more to do with my BT dongle and the aging PC.
The steering wheel needs to be powered by 3 AAA batteries which are not included, this is slightly disappointing as it’s always better when stuff is ready to go, straight out of the box. The pedal cable needs to be connected to the USB-A socket inside the back where the battery compartment is. The steering wheel has built in Blue Tooth but if you prefer it can be connected directly to the PC (or other platform) via the included USB-A to USB-C cable.
The table ‘ desk clamp is simple but very solid and tightens up very securely.
The wheel responds well and feels very solid in the hands. The return spring is strong and the wheel recentres readily. It is also easy to hold it in position off centre.
Pedals are also responsive but don’t give quite as much contra-force as the steering wheel and as such are slightly less realistic to use. It doesn’t get in the way of gameplay though; they work well and it is possible to make fine throttle adjustments and finesse your way into those corners.
Gear change buttons on the back are set by default in Race Room Experience and so are the pedals. Pretty much everything else needs to be bound in the options. It’s quick and easy and there are a total of 16 buttons (not including the back ones) to choose from.
I really like this; it has provided us with some great fun and it really is a step up to simply using a controller.
My son’s been testing this out on his Switch and says it’s “good”. It looks like he’s having fun with it and that’s all that matters to him really. I found it quite easy to fix to our dining table but there’s not much of an overhang to fix it to, so it doesn’t take much for it to come off in your hands. That’s not really the product’s fault but the manufacturer could do with coming up with more than 1 mounting option. The wheel it’s self seems to be pretty good in terms of build quality. I noticed that the spring which resists the wheel being turned and returns it to the centre position is quite strong. The wheel is quite small but you can turn it quite far. There’s not a huge amount of travel in the pedals but they’re pretty solidly put together as well. I found the instructions provided to be ok, they pretty much make sense to me but the product is very complicated with loads of buttons on it, with a short press for this function and a long press for another function, and press and hold these 2 buttons together for another function – you get the picture. I’m sure it’ll be fine once we’ve got used to it though, and in all likelihood we won’t be using most of the functions anyway. If I had to find something I didn’t like about it, I’d probably say it doesn’t need the fake paper dashboard dials sticker on it. All in all I think it’s a nice product for a bit of fun and is enjoyable to use. If you want a much more serious wheel and pedals then you’ll be paying much more money. This product does what it’s meant to and for a reasonable price.
My son is actually pretty impressed with this wheel. When I got it him, I could tell he wasn’t expecting much as in all honesty, it does feel a little plasticky. He has a PS5 but it’s worth noting it will only play PS4 games. This wasn’t a problem though as he still plays some PS4 games such as The Crew 2 and he said he was surprised at how well it worked. He did point out you do have to be quite heavy on the steering for it to be responsive enough but once you got used to it, it was great. The same goes for the pedals, you need to press quite hard to get the response you want. He particularly liked the fact you can shift gear on the steering wheel and he’s been using this setup nearly every day since he got it.
For the price, this is a very decent gaming wheel and is a much cheaper alternative than an official setup.
This is a pretty impressive setup for the money.
Serious gamers will be looking at far more sophisticated gear of course, but for casual gamers where on-screen or D-pad control just doesn’t cut the mustard, this is absolutely fine… and WAY better both control-wise, and fun-wise.
Build quality is OK; again actually better than I thought it would be for the price; and as long as you don’t hammer it (and the pedals) it should last well.
This is aimed at children in the listing, and while they’ll no doubt love using it, don’t skip over it if you’re an adult. Plenty of fun to be had with this, whatever your age.
Good stuff, and on a quality/value-for-money basis… 5-Stars.
I will start my review by saying that this is the best gaming steering wheel I’ve had so far. The feedback is amazing in every game and can be used with pretty much every console. You can use the gaming wheel by connecting it with the USB cable (provided) or by using the Bluetooth option and batteries (batteries not included).
I’ve tested it with 2 different games on 2 different consoles and I’m very surprised with it! The movement feedback was instant and the gaming wheel is plug and play. No drivers or additional setup is required.
The brake and acceleration pedals are good and well made. At some point, I applied too much pressure and I thought that might have damaged them as they’re plastic but the material is quite strong. Great compatibility with different games.
The same of the steering wheel is quite flat and not so round but that’s just a personal preference. There is a sticker with instrument cluster display on the “dashboard” but that’s just a sticker. There are a lot of buttons and functions on the steering wheel as it allows you to navigate in the game menu and it also has paddle shifts for games with manual transmission mode.
The only downside is the clip to mount the wheel on the desk. It doesn’t lock into place so if you unscrew the big plastic screw and remove the steering wheel from your desk the clip will not stay in place. Not a major issue but this might get easily lost.
Overall I’m very happy with it and it does a great job. Ideal for beginners with car games and kids.
This racing wheel provides a fun and immersive gaming experience. The wireless feature makes it easy to set up and use. The pedals are responsive, adding to the realism of driving in the game.
The wheel is compatible with a wide range of devices, including Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, PS3, iOS, and Android. However, I’ve only tried it on the Switch and now, Mario Kart has a whole new meaning.
Setting up the wheel is simple, and the controls are easy to learn. The wheel and pedals are sturdy, providing a good grip and response during gameplay.
The NBCP Gaming Racing Wheel with Pedal is a great choice for racing game enthusiasts. Its wide compatibility and wireless design make it convenient and fun to use.
This is a fun little wheel and pedals, it’s definitely not something for a keen racing sim enthusiast, but just for someone looking to add a fun dimension to your arcade racing game or euro truck sim etc. then it’s surprisingly decent. The wheel itself is fairly compact and not full size, but it’s not ridiculously small either, just somewhere in the middle that feels fine to use. The wheel itself does have some resistance and it springs back to the middle when you let go, as do the pedals. It’s definitely very plastic feeling, but at the same time I wouldn’t call it flimsy. I tested it out on Windows 11 and it was just plug and play, didn’t require any extra fiddling at all. At first there was quite a large dead zone, but fortunately the manual walks you through how to correct that and once I messed with that a bit it was spot on. Honestly I was impressed with this for the price and for the fact that it is sort of just a fun little controller rather than a serious wheel, but it still felt decent to use and good fun. It does come with a table clamp and it’s solid and does allow you to remove the wheel easily when not in use. If you want to use it wirelessly, it does require 3xAAA batteries that are not included, so do bear that in mind.
Overall I’d say this is ideal for someone who doesn’t want anything too serious, just a fun wheel that won’t break the bank but still give you that extra dimension. Hardcore racing sim players will most likely want to look elsewhere, but then I really don’t think this is aimed at that crowd anyway. Very simple to get going and use and good fun. A bit plastic, but not flimsy and the little bit of resistance makes it feel a lot better than it might otherwise.
