This is a basic but effective DisplayPort to HDMI adapter that has successfully allowed me to connect my PC’s video card to my TV and transfer a 4K 120hz image with no issues.
The adapter is of good quality and feels decently sturdy, and there are no issues or latency in the image despite being converted.
Very pleased with the results.
A well made product that does everything you could expect. The plugand the socket are both very secure when in use and the braided cable has a good level of flexibility. This solved a cable compatibility issue for me which would have been tricky to solve other ways.
This is handy for connecting my laptop to my TV. I have a USB-C to DP adaptor for that, which I connect to my monitors in the office, but my TV in the living room only has HDMI inputs. This fixes that, and offers good quality, high transfer speeds, when used with appropriate cables. There’s no sign of flickering, ghosting, lag or any other visual artefacts, so all’s good for me.
I used this on my graphics card instead of its HDMI port as it has a very weak connection. it works as intended and has saved me from having to change the card. the connection is now back to normal.
the cable itself is well built and has a nice braided cable with strong housing at the connectors. it’s flexible enough to bend to where I need it to be. recommended
This adapter perfectly connects a Micro PC’s DP to a monitor. Windows 11 works without the need to install anything, and I can watch video content on a 32″ TV.
I would recommend this adapter to anyone who needs a DP to HDMI converter.
This was perfect, as it does exactly what it should and outputs 4K just as expected. There were no disconnections or technical issues, and it was actually smaller than I expected!
This adapter seems well made and is working well. Display Port (DP) seems to be a common video output socket for many PCs, my PC has 3 such output ports, but no HDMI output port. Meanwhile, HDMI is a common input port for monitors. I have one monitor that has an HDMI input port but no DP input port. I also have several HDMI cables, but no DP to HDMI cable. This adapter satisfies this need perfectly and allows me to connect my PC’s DP to my monitors HDMI port. I plugged the male DP end of the adapter into one of my PCs female DP sockets, then connected the other end of the adapter to the 4k monitor via a spare 4k HDMI cable I had. I don’t know what the refresh rate for either is, but it just worked. The monitor seems to be working at 4k since when I drag something from this monitor to a lower resolution monitor, it gets resized whilst crossing from one monitor to the other.
This is a convertor cable from OHBUYAGN.
The display port cable supports 1.4 to HDMI 2.1 which is the latest iteration of both platforms.
I have been using this cable on my 4090 GPU which provides 1 x HDMI (Already Utilised) and 3 x DP. Therefore utilising this cable provides output to a HDMI cable through a DP port to the display I am using. Quality of the image is very good with clean and crisp refresh at the specified rates depending on your display.
The quality of the cable is very good with a cable shielding surrounding the cable and block connectors at each end for the DP and HDMI connectors.
This cable can only be used in one direction from DP to HDMI and not in reverse to DP input.
When the cable arrived there were protective covers on both block connectors which are necessary to provide dust and dirt prevention from getting into either connector especially when in storage and gratefully accepted.
Overall this is a brilliant quality well built convertor for users who want to reutilise their HDMI cables without having to go out and purchase a DisplayPort cable.
For some reason GPU manufacturers still insist on sticking DisplayPort…er…ports on their cards. I’ve never come across a monitor that had DisplayPort and didn’t have HDMI – plenty the other way around.
Anyway – adapters like this are pretty much a necessary evil. This worked straight of the box – I tested with my side monitor (1080p), main monitor (ultrawide + VRR) and outputting to my 4K TV – all good. Build quality is great with braided cable etc.
My only gripe is the price. At the time of review this is on for 16.99 which seems very high. But…at the end of the day you are guaranteed a working adapter.
