ordered this to make polishing our car easy and so far, haven’t got any regrets. Like some have said its a little heavy but does the job really well. It comes with loads of accessories. It’s helped buff out some fine scratches. Car looks great now so I would recommend.
Very heavy but has additional handles to help hold it. Multiple attachments , easy to put together. Used it to buff off some light scratches on the car and it came up great . Brilliant value
I waited to write this review until I had fully tested the polisher. I bought it to polish the tank of my motorbike, which inevitably developed a few scratches and marks from regular use over time. At 69.99 (at the time of writing), it seemed like a good deal compared to other options.
It arrived well-packaged and undamaged. In the box were several additional accessories, including pads for both the larger and smaller discs. However, I noticed an issue: some of the pads didn’t fit or fully cover the discs they were intended for!
While using it, I realised it’s quite heavy, so you definitely need the handle that comes with it for better control. The adjustable speed feature is great for switching between delicate polishing and more aggressive buffing, which is a nice touch. However, even at the lowest setting, it starts a bit too fast for my liking. It oscillates but does not have a figure-8 or dual-action mode so I guess the price reflects this.
Is it effective? Yes, but it’s heavy and sometimes too fast. Still, it did a good job of removing the scratches. I wouldn’t recommend this for someone who has never used a polisher before, as it could potentially cause more damage.
This polisher has been excellent for maintaining my car’s finish. The variable speed settings give me a lot of control, especially when working on different surfaces. The included accessories are a great fit for all kinds of jobs, from waxing to polishing. The motor is powerful but runs smoothly, and the design makes it comfortable to use for extended periods. It’s easy to handle and comes with everything I need for different tasks. It’s made car detailing a much easier job.
The RAYBAO Car Polisher really impresses with its power and flexibility. With a 1200W motor and variable speeds from 1600 to 3500 RPM, it’s perfect for tackling both light and heavy polishing jobs. The adjustable speed gives me precise control, whether I’m buffing out minor scratches or applying a high-gloss finish.
The detachable handle and included 180mm and 150mm discs add to its versatility and make it comfortable to use. Whether I’m polishing, waxing, or buffing, this tool consistently delivers great results.
Overall, the RAYBAO Car Polisher is a top-notch addition to my car care routine. It’s powerful, versatile, and makes achieving a professional-quality finish at home a breeze.
A few years ago, I tried using my electric drill with a pad to polish my car, but it didn’t work very well as the pad kept jumping and hence ended up with small scratch marks in the paint. This polisher however is just the job, it comes with a lot of accessories, including different sized pads, buffers, sanding disks, cloths, even spare electric brushes for the motor. The device itself is well made, feeling strong and substantial. The controls are good, with a totally variable speed dial, not stepped and trigger control, although there is no brake, so when you release the trigger, the pad still rotates until it loses its motion. I like the handle that attaches as its directly over th rotating head, making it easy to apply pressure and control it (no more jumping).
Having just used the polisher to polish my car these are my findings:
* The rotating disk splatters the wax everywhere if you are not careful, so don’t just put a dollop of wax on the car and then use the polisher, it will go everywhere. Beter to rub it in a bit first with a cloth and then use the polisher.
* In addition to polishing the car I also use some T-cut to reduce the appearance of a scratch I had on the car, this worked well.
* The lead on the polisher is 3m long, so you will probably need to connect it to an extension lead.
* The polisher was easy to use, highly controllable in relation to speed and easy to manoeuvre. It did a good job and makes polishing your car a lot easier and quicker.
I have recently bought a new car and want to keep it looking like it still has that showroom shine on the paintwork. I try and wash the car at least once a week and give it a good polish once a month. I had set up my drill with a polishing head to try and make the work of polishing the car a little easier but it didn’t work very well to be honest. Hence I ordered this polishing machine and it works a treat.
I comes with 2 hook and loop backing pads one 6 inch and one 7 inch. It also comes with various mop pads and pads it even has some sandpaper for sanding if needed. But all the mop heads cover everything you need to get that bodywork on the car shining like new. The motor has a variable speed dial from 1600rpm to 3500rpm. It has 2 types of handles a D handle and a side handle I personally prefer the D handle but it is interchangeable to suit your needs or your preference. The sis a high quality polisher. It is not the cheapest on the market but do you want to trust the outer shell of your prized possession to the cheapest polisher. this one is reliable and easy to use. all you ahem to do is add car and polish and away you go… Highly recommended
The car polisher / buffer arrived boxed together with a whole host of pads, sponges, cloths and sanding disks (please see attached image). It also has two backing plates, a 6 inch and 7 inch one and a side and a top handle. There is of course also an instruction manual. This is a mains powered device and the cable is 3 metres long. I guess most people will use an extension cable but this length of attached cable means that the extension socket block wont need to be dragged around.
The specifications of this device show it to be powerful at 1200w It also has 6 rotation speeds from 1600 rpm to 3500 rpm.
The device itself is extremely robust, with a very heavy duty metal casing. The current price of 79.99 reflects this, but at the moment there is a 20% voucher making it more comparably priced with less highly specified equivalents. Some polishers / buffers are equipped with heavy duty rechargeable batteries which presumably adds to the cost but also ease of use, and many (if not most) have casings of a plastic type. This does not necessarily make them fragile as I know from my ‘known make’ industrial drill!
The main negative about this polisher for me is the weight. At over 3 kg I found it quite tiring on the arms and harder to judge the correct pressure to use. So I guess a question for a purchaser would be to decide between ease of use on the one hand and power and robustness on the other. For ease a lighter weight rechargeable device might be a good enough option. For heavy duty use by a strong individual, then this one seems at the top end amongst those I have looked at on the Amazon site.
So a helpful rating will depend on your usage. I will give it 4 stars, but for you a valid rating might be more or less than that. I hope that this review will help you make the decision.
