I never thought I’d end up with a smart car air freshener, but here I am and I do quite like it. It comes with a bottle of fragrance in the box so you can set it up immediately. It sits in the cup holder of my car and I have it set to the low fragrance setting as U only have a very small car and I don’t want to be overwhelmed with scent. I like that it only works when it can sense vibrations so there’s no wastage of the fragrance. It’s great for making the car smell nice!
I love this Smart Car Air Freshener. It arrived well packaged and was east to set up with the scent bottle. You need to wait a few minutes after set up and then it’s ready to use. There are four settings to choose from depending how often you want the unit to send out a puff of scent. I find the lower setting are really effective but the stronger ones are available if I need them. The unit also has led mood lighting that can be colour changing or switched off if required. The really cleaver feature of turning itself on/off when it detects car vibration is really cool! Over-all a solid little unit that works well. Can always use it at home as well..

This is the only thing i can really begin by saying is if you’re debating whether or not to get one, you really should this product is absolutely amazing and has changed the costly method of consistently buying and replacing air fresheners that last no more then a few days to a week, and with no spills or liquid everywhere, this product is a clean hassle free way that makes keeping the car smelling fresh a breeze, the product feels of good quality and all comes bundled looking very luxurious, I’ve been using this now for a few weeks and the device just keeps going and going so as for battery life i can say it’s working fantastically, i also love the smart mode where the device auto powers off after 7 minutes of the engine being off and no vibrations, and then as soon as you go back to the car and open the door you’re immediately greeted with a spritz of fragrance, i would highly recommend this product to anyone so if you’re on the fence about buying this item Buy it you wont be disappointed
My car isn’t particulalry smelly. I’ve no dogs to foul up thye air on trips to the beach, or kids to smear in the spaces between door and seat. Nevertheless, some form of odour control is usually present, be it aroma tree or simialr dangler, used more as a sweetner than a masking device.
Enter the Smart Car Air Freshener. A sturdy Coke-can shaped device that looks sleek and shiny, which squats in your centre console cup holders and blasts out puffs of aroma oils every X minutes of drive time.
You can set the anti-pong puffs to spout in short or long intervals. The long is every 15 mins of drive time, which is still rather short. The SHORT is every thirty seconds, which is frankly ridiculous. Nevertheless, the freshener works, and the smell juice provided is pleasant. It’s a little “concrete and leather” for my personal tastses, but I’m sure I can buy something more floral from their website. It only works with their bespoke products, apparently… sure.
The smart aspect of this device has it working only when it can detect vibration, ie when the car is in motion. And this works well, as it switches itself off and on as momentum dictates.
On short drives to the shops or local amenities, this is great. I had a long drive of 3hrs plus, and I did switch it off for this as a waft every 15 minutes of that journey would seem a little cloying.
Overall, this is a nice piece of kit, if slightly over-engineered. Approved!
Nice features, auto on/off, pleasant aroma, but it doesn’t fit in the coffee holders in my car. I’ve left it in the door pocket and it seems happy enough there.
If you use your coffee holders it means you have to move the unit to the door pocket anyway.
Looks good, expensive for an air freshener, but would make a good gift for someone who wants a perfumed car.
This is a very well made, solid piece of kit that triggers automatic air freshening when you’re in the car by using a clever little vibration or movement sensor built into it.
It comes packaged with fluid, a charger cable and the unit itself and the unit is a really attractive nice looking matte black finish (I really like this – it goes with any car interior)
There’s LED lighting built into it that you can use and turn on if you want which is another nice touch from Salking. I like this a lot.
It’s easy to use. You just pop it in your car and choose from 15 minutes, 5 minutes, 60 seconds and 30 seconds for how often it releases a beautiful aroma into the car cockpit.
It’s also a diffuser so a lot better than a standard air freshener and really does a great job. The strength can be quite strong though so needs a little ventilation every now and again
Some people have even used these as a diffuser and air freshener in their homes which is a great use of them too
I found this easy to set up after reading the instructions. It comes with a good long charging cable and cleaning / replacements for the perfume spray nozzle. The bottle of perfume is fitted by unscrewing the base then screwing the bottle in from underneath.
You can set it to spray at different intervals and the light for the setting you choose stays on. It works by sensing the vibration of the car and switches itself off when you leave the car.
There is also a setting that gives you a constant colour changing light show , I found this to be a distraction while driving and think that part of it is an unnecessary gimmick.
The perfume itself is a lovely light fragrance that is not overwhelming even on the highest setting. I found it a little odd that there is no mention in any of the packaging of being able to buy replacement perfume bottles at a later date. My overall thoughts are that this is a very very expensive novelty item that would make the perfect gift for that person who has everything.
