I brought for work due to the amount of trouble ramping up, its small and compact but its quility is decent and its well made ive used it for about a month now and still no issues and dispite me working 12 hour shifts 4 nights a week ive only had to charge it once.
The cameras decent and all functions work well
I like this camera because you can take it anywhere you like.Take brilliant pictures and videos and record all sound and buddy safe to be with fantastic It has an alarm as well very useful
I spent quite a bit of time testing this and it’s very good for the price. The picture quality is adequate but don’t expect amazing TV quality footage – it has a wide angle and does a good job of recording stuff, but doesn’t necessarily make a great viewing experience. The picture quality is a bit grainy in low light as it seems to use a high ISO setting to compensate for low light. It’s normally easy to see what’s gong on but is much more useful for keeping a record or gathering evidence than for shooting a family video.
I tested this by clipping it to the neck of my shirt and my trousers and it held securely both ways. The best place for it was to put it inside a shirt pocket with the clip on backwards so that it could clip over the edge.
Regardless of where it’s mounted the footage is a bit wobbly as it moves with each step, but again this is probably not meant for shooting video as much as recording stuff while you perform some task. I found that I could always see what was going on in the footage and the sound recording was good enough to hear conversations etc.
I tested this at night too, but it was very hard to find anywhere in my neighbourhood without extremely bright street lamps. It worked very well under these conditions, but I haven’t confirmed how well it works with no external lights. Even inside my house my CCTV cameras all have IR lights on them so darkness is hard to find!
There are a number of configuration options for example you can turn off the lights so that no one can see you are recording. The menus worked well and everything was simple and easy to understand.
I think for the price this is a good device and seems to work very well. If you have a genuine need for a body camera this is a good entry level device.
I am not a great technical person but I do like to take pictures and am in the process of writing my own books about the UK coast. To gather information I travel around and photograph areas of interest.
I’ve now had one week of opportunity to try out this camera. The pictures it has produced will not be of quality to replace my usual camera BUT I have found it useful to wear the camera and both film and record my thoughts and ideas for both pictures and the written elements.
The camera has a reasonable battery life and memory card although in the future I will both carry a powerbank for recharging and a spare memory card for extra storage.
One comment about preparing the camera for use….. the Lanyard was really difficult to thread through the holes on the device in order to create the carry strap. I had to use a needle to poke the thin cord through. However, the mini tripod and clip to fix to a handle are well thought through and could be very useful in different circumstances.
