Exceptional bit of kit. I’ve been using this diving all around the Greek islands all summer (2024) with this .
I’m an ex member of the Royal Navy and have been Scuba diving and snorkeling for years and I really rate this item .10/10 It worked for me.
This mask does not steam up at all. Gave me hours of fun snorkeling in Mexico. I have had cheaper masks before that hurt after a while and keep letting a little water in. Then mist up. This mask did not let any water in at all 5 star rating for me.
Had a different full face mask for our daughter in the past. This seems more watertight and we all enjoyed watching whilst on holiday in Greece. A little warning about going too deep too quickly would be great – two out of four of us came home with perforated eardrums. Overall recommend.
Snorkeling was fantastic. The panoramic view allowed clear underwater vision. Shorter breathing distance made it easy to breathe naturally, and the mask didn’t fog up. It fit comfortably and stayed leak-free throughout the swim. The camera mount was a great feature for capturing underwater adventures.
I enjoy a bit of snorkelling and was keen to try this. I do have an issue with holding a regular snorkel in my mouth as gripping it makes my jaw ache, so a one piece like this is the obvious solution.
The face seal is pretty good. I measured my face before going for the smaller of the two options, and it’s a decent fit. Besides the full face seal, there’s another nose and mouth seal built in, so even if you get a bit of leakage into the overall mask it’s unlikely to make it to your nose/mouth.
Visibility is excellent, and much better than a standard face mask.
The only real issue is at the base, when bending the head forward the blue cap touches your chest, so it’s necessary to snorkel with the head relatively flat to the body. There’s also no way to get at the nose for equalising pressure, though a good swallow can achieve the same effect unless the pressure is particularly high.
At 28 the price seems reasonable, and is close to what I paid for a decent quality standard mask and snorkel.
Having always used a snorkel and mask I was unsure about the benefits of a face mask. The snorkel section pulls off the mask and both are stored in a nice netting bag. The face mask itself is well made and feels a quality item. Plenty of adjustment ensuring a good tight fit. The clear area of the mask is large so in no way claustrophobic. The measuring instructions were clear and made selecting the correct size easy. The mask fits snugly to the face and remained watertight when used in the sea. This item is a must have for holidays with children who may struggle with a snorkel. It’d bigger and bulkier than a snorkel and mask but not much. This will replace the snorkel and mask when holidaying abroad. The mask seems to fit a broad facial length so could easily be used by both children and adults. I would recommend this item to anyone thinking of getting goggles and snorkel, especially if you have a holiday coming up.
My goodness, this snorkel, accurately described as a face mask, certainly makes an impression! It is seriously heavy duty, if not quite hard core. In fact, it feels more like a diving mask than an ordinary snorkel. The small size fits my face perfectly. The seal around the face fits tightly, whether my face is wet or dry. I actually like that there is a separate sealed area which covers my nose and mouth. The blue and black mix is very attractive.
When I first tried it on it was slightly fiddly getting the straps over my head but the mask stuck to my face immediately. Despite it being the right size, it looks HUGE when on. If you are a naturally shy person, be aware that people WILL turn to look and stare at you as you walk into and out of the water! It makes you look like a serious snorkeller, ha ha. I did worry initially about feeling claustrophobic, but that feeling died down almost immediately. It is very easy to breathe normally in the mask, both in and out of the water. Which brings me to the best bit: the viewing angles are great, and the mask does not fog up at all (okay, there was a tiny spot in the top left hand corner on my first attempt, but it remained there and eventually disappeared). I did not have any problems with fog and enjoyed clear vision. It felt very comfortable both in and out of water.
This is a personal preference, but it would have felt better if the snorkel tube had been on the right hand side, but that’s a minor quibble. This mask is way better than the old-fashioned snorkels with the tube in your mouth!
Have just returned from a 10 day break in Cyprus. And this was the best place other than the likes of the Caribbean to try the full face snorkel mask out. It took a little bit time to get use to putting it on and using this but once I did it was fantastic. Being able to put my head under the water and still breath was again amazing. Also going right under the water by holding my breath again this wasn’t a problem. I found that no water was getting inside of the mask as I had this tight against my face (a really good suction). The size of the mask again was great, so make sure you get the right size. As for the visability this was the best part, it was like being under the water with no mask on. You could see everything, really good and I also found this didn’t steam up. All in all a great find. Would highly recommend. And the price is a give away. 5 stars*****.
