TicWatch Pro 5 Enduro Smartwatch for Men 1.43″ Android Wear OS Smart Watch Up to 90 Hrs Battery 7/24 Heart Rate Health Fitness Tracker Outdoor 5ATM GPS Compass Not Compatible with iPhone/iOS
As someone who has owned and tested various smartwatches over the years, I can confidently say that the Ticwatch Pro 5 Enduro in Slate is a standout in the crowded smartwatch market. Here’s why this device has earned a permanent spot on my wrist:
Battery Life:
The battery life on the Ticwatch Pro 5 Enduro is nothing short of impressive. With regular use, I’ve managed to go several days without needing a recharge, which is a significant improvement over many other models I’ve tried. The dual-layer display technology, which alternates between a high-res screen and a power-efficient FSTN LCD, is a game-changer for extending battery life without sacrificing functionality.
Connectivity:
Connectivity with this watch is seamless. Whether I’m pairing it with my smartphone or syncing it with my wireless earbuds, the process is quick and hassle-free. The Bluetooth connectivity is robust, and I haven’t experienced any drops or lags during my workouts or daily use.
Blood Oxygen Monitoring:
One of the features I appreciate the most is the blood oxygen monitoring. It provides accurate and real-time data that’s easily accessible on the watch. This has been particularly useful for monitoring my health metrics during high-intensity workouts and ensuring I stay within safe parameters.
Workout Tracker:
The workout tracker on the Ticwatch Pro 5 Enduro is comprehensive and intuitive. It covers a wide range of activities, from running and cycling to more niche exercises. The data collected is detailed and helps me analyze and improve my performance over time. The GPS is highly accurate, which is crucial for outdoor activities.
Multiple Screens for Saving Battery:
The innovative dual-display setup deserves a special mention. The ability to switch between a smart mode and an essential mode not only conserves battery but also ensures that I have all the critical information at a glance when I need it. This feature alone sets the Ticwatch Pro 5 Enduro apart from many competitors.
Design and Aesthetics:
The slate color is sleek and versatile, making it a perfect match for both casual and formal outfits. It’s a subtle yet sophisticated hue that adds a touch of elegance to the watch.
Anecdotal Experience:
As an avid runner and cyclist, I’ve found the Ticwatch Pro 5 Enduro to be incredibly reliable. During my morning runs, the GPS tracks my route with pinpoint accuracy, and the heart rate monitor provides real-time data that helps me stay within my target zones. On weekends, I often go on long cycling trips, and the watch’s endurance has been outstanding. Even after hours of continuous tracking, it still has plenty of battery life left. The detailed post-workout analysis is incredibly helpful for tweaking my training plans and improving my overall performance.
Minor Annoyance:
The only slight drawback I’ve encountered is with the Talkback feature. I accidentally enabled it and found it somewhat challenging to deactivate. However, this is more a quirk of the Wear OS rather than the watch itself. Once I managed to turn it off, the overall experience was smooth and user-friendly.
In summary, the Ticwatch Pro 5 Enduro in Slate is an outstanding smartwatch that excels in key areas such as battery life, connectivity, and health monitoring. Its design is stylish and adaptable, and despite a minor software hiccup, it offers a robust and reliable performance. Highly recommended for tech-savvy individuals looking for a dependable and feature-rich smartwatch.
I’ve been looking for a new Android watch for a while and opted for the Ticwatch Pro 5 Enduro after a lot of internet research. Some of the features that make the Ticwatch stand out for me are the dual screen, battery life, tonnes of health and fitness features for tracking all kinds of workouts and it also syncs with my Mobvoi home treadmill SE. The watch comes in 2 colours. Black and grey. I chose the grey and it looks great. The watch itself is like a matt silver colour and the strap is a light grey. It’s a silicone strap with a proper clasp, not one of those annoying sports straps that you have to tuck in and rip half the hair off on your wrist!
The dual screen is a total game changer. The AMOLED display is big and bright and is easy to navigate. When the screen is not in use the dual screen comes on. It’s like an old school analogue watch but it still has loads of features on this screen like steps, heart rate, calories, battery etc. and you can scroll between different metrics on the dual screen. You can also change the colour of the background backlight of the dual screen to whatever colour you want which is a nice feature. The rotating crown is really easy to use. I’ve tried other smartwatches with rotating crowns and this is by far the best. It just works much better than other watches and because it’s slightly bigger it’s not fiddly to use.
The battery life is superb. I’m getting around 3 full days in smart watch mode and it’s due to the dual screen saving the battery when it’s not in use. If the battery drops below 5% it will switch into essential mode which will keep the watch working for longer on the dual screen. Other smartwatches are only getting around a day of battery before having to charge. This means I am able to go away for the weekend without having to worry about charging the watch.
There are 111(!) different workout modes to choose from. Whatever you do, you’ll find it on the watch. For outdoor workouts that need to connect to GPS, I have found it connects really easily and when I check back to see how it tracked, it’s very accurate. As well as the workouts you also get TicHealth which has your goals for the day (steps, minutes etc), calories burnt, stairs climbed, distance, heart rate, blood oxygen, stress levels and sleep tracking. You can also customise these features too.
I’ve got the Mobvoi home treadmill SE and the watch syncs perfectly with it and your metrics display on the watch in real time as you are running.
Charging is quick and the charger attaches easily so no fiddling around with it.
Google wallet works well with the watch and I haven’t had any issues using it.
If you want a top spec smartwatch at a really reasonable price I’d seriously consider the Ticwatch Pro 5 Enduro.
I wonder if most smartwatch wearers like me have suffered from “Battery Anxiety”, i.e. when you get really concerned about how long before you have to charge up your device.
Having used my Ticwatch Pro 5 Enduro for over two months now, I am very pleased with the battery life of this watch. It saves power in the way it operates its watchface displays. Unless you set it to be on continuously, the face is dimmed with a minimal display, but it uses two displays. For the main display, there is the option to use the in built displays, plus there are loads of alternative watch faces, which can be very easily downloaded.
The watch switches automatically from the main display to a secondary, less bright one to save juice. Not having a continuously “bright” display must save a lot of battery power because I can get well in excess of 3 days with full usage, including exercise and overnight sleep tracking. Speaking of sleep tracking, I find that the inbuilt suite of health & fitness apps to be very good. “Ticsleep” gives me all the info I need about my sleeping habits and I love the way the data is presented, as is the case with the other Tic apps. If, however, you prefer Google’s approach to these things, the Ticwatch Pro 5 Enduro happily shares its data with Google Fit (I for one will be sticking with the proprietary apps, which I think are all great).
When you do come to charging the watch, it is conveniently very fast.
The display is large and clear (1.43 in).
It comes with a comfortable strap, so no problem in wearing the timepiece all day.
The watch’s Mobvoi’s phone app linked up with my phone without any diffculty at all.
The watch runs Google’s WearOS so there is the vast choice of apps that can be downloaded from the Play Store and used with your smartphone.
As well as accessing the main watch display and your notifications from the crown on the right hand side of the watch, next to it there is also a button which you can press to access your apps. You can then use the crown to scroll through them to the one you want.
For monitoring activity and fitness the watch automatically monitors your daily steps and should you require to monitor a particular sport you can select it from the “Ticexercise” app. This has a large selection of all manner of surprising sports and exercises which you can select direct from the watch on your wrist.
See my photos.
GPS is built into the watch which is great for activities outdoors and means that you are not reliant on your smartphone to track your location.
This watch provides everything I need, and very efficently indeed, with well designed visual displays.
Coupled with its long battery life, it’s excellent.
“Battery Anxiety” over!
Highly recommended.
The Ticwatch 5 Pro Enduro fulfills the main criteria for me, in terms of features and aesthetics – as well as being a very cost-effective solution for the feature set provided.
Feature wise:
– it has comprehensive health monitoring features, pulse, SPo2, steps, etc – which can be fed through their Mobovi Health app to Google Fit, Strava, etc.
– They seem accurate and it prompts you periodically to getup and move which is helpful.
– The sleep detection features work well with Sleep for Android as it is a Wear OS device it integrates nicely into the wider WearOS ecosystem.
– The Google Wallet feature works well, and is convenient to use when out for public transport, shops, etc.
– The headphone music integration works well controlling the various music apps.
– The answering of calls and text messages from my phone works seamlessly, even Ring alerts pop-up on the screen.
Battery life is great, I often forget that is needs charging as is goes for days at a time without discharging.
The low-energy mode and auto-switching transitions working smoothly.
Niggles are minor, it would be nice if it had Google Assistant, and I understand the Wear 4.0 OS is coming as an upgrade, but TBH these are minor niggles as the watch supports everything that I wanted and needed.
Aesthetically, it is a well proportioned watch – slim but not insubstantial, with a bright vivd screen and the ridged strap is comfortable and improved over previous models.
Highly recommended and very satisfied with this purchase.
Having owned several previous TicWatch models, I was excited to see the new “Enduro” model come out. I specifically wanted something a bit different to my other watches so decided to go for the gorgeous Slate variant. I’ve been using it for about a week, and in case you don’t want to read the rest of this review, I love it!
Packaging
The packaging is sleek and well made, with a long box and decent internal packing to ensure protection in transit.
Watch Design
The Enduro looks amazing with it’s stainless steel & aluminium front, and high-strength nylon with fiberglass back. The slightly raised bezel looks particularly nice and houses the Sapphire glass — which will be more scratch resistant than the other smartwatches that have Gorilla Glass. The materials of the watch feel very durable, which you would expect from the MIL-STD-810H Military Standard specification.
There are two side buttons, on the right-hand side of the watch. Both feel solid and are unobtrusive. The main central crown has an attractive and distinct red inlay circle and can be pressed in as a button but also rotates which can be used to navigate the Watch OS. The top button has a knurled finish.
As far as smartwatches go, the watch is quote thin and light at 11.95mm thick and 75g weight (with strap). It feels solid and “expensive” but does not seem oversized and I feel it would suit most wrist types from teen through to adult.
Strap
One of the main features about the watch is the slate-coloured silicone strap, which looks and feels amazing. The strap is very soft to the touch and is flexible enough whilst also retaining a solid feel that is often lost with some silicone straps.
The watch can take any 24mm quick-release strap, so plenty of scope for customisation.
Display
A 1.43 inch, 466×466 (326dpi) resolution dual-display. The watches tour-de-force is the always-on ultra-low-power LCD display, which shows the essential information like Time, Date, Step count, Heart Rate, NFC, Bluetooth and battery. I find it easy to read the LCD display in most light conditions, cut it can also be configured to have a coloured backlight, to assist viewing even further.
To get access to the crisp OLED display though, you can click a button, touch the screen, or tilting-to-wake. Once activated, you can then use the full touch screen smart watch functionality. This display is bright, crisp, and vibrant with excellent viewing angles and dark blacks.
In terms of watch faces, the watch is bundled with approximately 30 different ones, with the option to download thousands of free or paid for faces from the Google Play Store.
Apps
The watch OS is Wear OS 3.5, so comes with the standard apps you would expect such as Google Pay, Phone, Memo, Calc, Alarm, Stopwatch/Timer, Weather etc. Hopefully Wear OS 4 will be released soon.
Personally, my most used apps are Google Keep, Strava, Spotify, and Sleep As Android, which all worked flawlessly.
The more non-standard apps from Mobvoi are the Tic range:
TicSleep for sleep monitoring
TicZen and TicBreath for de-stress and mindfulness
TicHearing for calculating ambient noise in dB
TicPulse for 24/7 pulse monitoring
TicOxygen for 24/7 blood oxygen level monitoring
TicExercise for exercise tracking — Run, Walk, Treadmill, Cycling, Freestyle, Swimming etc.
TicBarometer for Altimeter and Compass
Mobvoi Health app for pulling in a lot of the above sensor information as an overview
TouchScreen and Hardware
The screen is responsive to touch and makes navigating the OS and apps easy.
The watch uses the Qualcomm Snapdragon W5+ Gen 1 applications processor and ultra-low power co-processor chipset.
For memory and storage, it has 2GB RAM and the 32GB ROM. I haven’t expeirneced the watch lagging, and has plenty of space to store apps and downloaded music etc.
Communications come in Bluetooth 5.2 and Wireless 2.4GHz, with a whole host of GNSS technology (GPS+Beidou+Glonass+Galileo+QZSS).
It is also rated for up to 5ATM Open Water Swim due to the IP68 water resistance rating,
Battery Life
This is where the watch really stands out for me, after using it heavily for a week I have only charged the 628mAh battery twice. This is with many of the sensors running 24/7 and not having the watch go into essential mode in order to monitor sleep via third party integration with Sleep as Android app. I tend to pop it on charge while showering, which keeps it topped up with no need to be without it.
If running in purely essential mode, Mobvoi claim the watch will last 45 days, but I have not tested this.
Charging
The watch includes a magnetic charging base which effortlessly clicks on. I have the charger placed into a 3D printed stand, for when I am not wearing it.
Conclusion
Overall, the TicWatch Pro 5 Enduro is an excellent, comfortable smartwatch. Its impressive features and robust design make it a wearable that will likely remain a favourite for a long time.
The new best smart watch on the market!
I had previously owned and reviewed the Ticwatch 5 Pro, which I recently replaced with the 5 Pro Enduro. The 5 Pro was gifted to a close friend, as is still working great.
I was initially a little skeptical about the boasted improvements, questioned whether it was worth the upgrade… That skepticism didn’t last long, this thing is awesome!
Even longer battery life, faster, slimmer, lighter, and supports the latest WearOS.
The strap is also much better, feels nicer on the wrist, and the ridged design means less slipping/movement. It’s also more secure than it’s predecessor, so less likely the strap will slip out of the secure loop when wearing long sleeved clothes.
Does it perform well and as advertised? So far, after several days of use I can happily says yes the specs are not exaggerated
Like prior TicWatch Pro models it uses a dual screen to conserve battery life, displaying an LCD style screen when not actively being used, and once in active use it switches the the proper watch face. Very cool feature.
Health tracking, sleep tracking, steps, Etc… all seem to be pretty accurate.
Exercise and Sleep tracking also work pretty well, the watch will automatically track these if you have enabled the features / permissions to allow it.
If I had to pick one thing to knit pick about, I’d prefer it to have a cradle charger. Nothing wrong with the charge that comes with it, just a personal preference
The TicWatch Pro 5 Enduro is a solid smartwatch option, especially for those who prioritize battery life and durability for outdoor activities. The standout feature is undoubtedly the battery life. The dual-display system with a low-power LCD lets you squeeze out multiple days, even a week, on a single charge — even when using 24 hour monitoring, crushing most competitors. When it does come to charging it’s also really quick, it takes just over half an hour, which is exactly what you want if you want to wear it for sleep tracking.
The Enduro earns its name. Sapphire glass and a military-grade tough design make it highly resistant to scratches and bumps, perfect for adventuring. Yet despite its rugged build, the watch is surprisingly comfortable to wear for extended periods. The new sweat-proof Flurorubber strap does a good job of keeping the watch in place during exercise. The screen is crystal clear and virbrant, easily readable in any light conditions.
The Snapdragon W5+ Gen 1 chip delivers smoother performance compared to previous TicWatch models. You get a full suite of health and fitness tracking features, including heart rate monitoring, sleep tracking, Blood Oxygen Saturation, Stress Monitoring, 24H Heart Rate Monitoring, and built-in GPS. I like the new feature of Heart Rate Zone Backlights, during exercise a quick glance at the watch shows exactly what zone you’re in. The TicHealth App has been improved, the summary screen gives a clear comprehensive list of all your measurements.
Overall, I am very impressed with the Mobvoi Ticwatch Pro 5 Enduro. It is a great smartwatch with a long battery life, a ton of features, well priced and a comfortable design. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a new smartwatch.
Packaging of the TicWatch Pro 5 Enduro was nicely done.
The quality of the watch is top notch and it has a feel of quality to it. It is very comfortable to wear the watch all through the day.
The battery life has been much improved in comparison to older models. This watch can last over 4 days on full charge and set to low power mode.
It supports WhatsApp so sending and receiving messages has now become easier and quicker.
Connecting the watch to my phone via Bluetooth is super easy and notifications from my phone is promptly sent to the watch. The watch has made me to use my phone far less frequently now.
The display is very brilliant and makes reading and interacting with the phone a joy to behold.
There are so many different watch faces to choose from and customising them is easy.
The watch can be used as a regular day wear and can also be used for sports and other outdoor activities.
This wristwatch is miles above its contemporary in all ways – its look, fit, range of apps, range of watch faces etc.
This watch is beautiful, versatile and the best in its category and I can wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking to get a smart wristwatch.
One of the important things for is the watches battery life. I took it to 2 days before I decided to charge it.
The rotating crown dial makes navigating apps a breeze. This comes in particularly useful when a map is being displayed , it becomes a zoom control, if playing music , a volume control and so on,all of which is very handy.
The memory capacity (32Gb) means that I have been able to add my music playlists and audio books to my watch without and listen without having to link to my phone.
The onboard barometer, which is useful to to me for my hobbies, allowing me to see what the weather is really up to at my location.
The TicCompass gives you the answer to that awful car GPS instruction , “Head south east”
The display is bright and clear and easy to read.
All in all I am thoroughly delighted with my new watch !
The TicWatch Pro line has a lovely slightly larger frame than the cheaper models.
There’s a massive improvement with this one in that it has a usable crown.
That’s the dial on the side which would once have been used to wind a watch up – now you can use this by turning or pressing it. Turning it allows you to scroll the screen rather than swiping at it – doesn’t sound a big deal but its an absolute game changer! So much faster than using the screen, how I ever lived without it I dunno but I wont going forward.
It has a usual kind of Fluoro Rubber strap with a ridged pattern that is beautifully comfortable even whilst wearing it working out at the gym.

The dual-display is an awesome idea, meaning you always have access to time without running down your power of lighting up the main screen, no other brand of watching is doing this like this – genious. You can even pick a colour for the low power 2nd screen, it’s also very easy to read the TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra outdoors. What else has been improved here is that they are finally letting 3rd party developers put detail onto the 2nd screen which should mean we start seeing some interesting new stuff on it. There’s multiple screens to it too, rather than just being a single screen like it was in the past you can rotate the crown to see more info on the 2nd screen.
—
It features the Snapdragon Wear 5+ Gen 1 chip which is super fast, meaning there is no delays on operating the screen – all apps start up instantly, no lagging – exactly how you want it to be.It’s also running on Google’s WearOS 3.0, so it’s bang up to date. You dont need the WearOS app though – just Mobvoi’s own.
—
For those of you who do outdoor sports, it features MIL-STD-810H military grade durability which means that it’s far more likely to survive a proper knock than most watches. This new version also has sapphire glass for the screen. Why do I care about that ? Because it means it shouldnt get scratched – WITHOUT me having to add a screen protector to this one.Fab. Screen protectors are cheap enough, but not needing one means no more bubbles or getting dust under the screen protector when I try and fit it.I’ve already bashed it on my toolbench – not a single mark.
—
This one comes with some very cool faces right out of the box, way better than the ones in the past.
But I use the Facer app to pick from hundreds of watch faces and there’s something for everyone. I’ve already got several I bought which fit a ton of information on the screen and they’re still compatible so I’ve carried on using those. But whatever you like – you can have something simple or animated.
—
TicZen and TicBreathe let you monitor your stress levels.
TicSleep lets you monitor the quality of your sleep and what could be done to improve it. This has been improved significantly too including a snoring monitor!
Apparently you can get a years worth of free sleep analysis by way of the Mobvoi VIP Health App – I’ll definitely be giving this a whirl.
—
TicExercise has an awesome number of workouts including swimming pool. It has over a 100 professional workouts if you’re an exercise fanatic. All of the workouts are saved and analysed in a TicHealth dashboard which lets you see how active you are. It’s got the usual fitness goal and your current step count. It will also show you your energy levels – physical and mental if you have 24-hour monitoring turned on.
Heart rate monitoring results are vastly improved, you can see the sensor on the back is much bigger than before, it now gives you rate, oxygen levels and all that stuff in one go.A REALLY clever new addition is that they use the colour of the 2nd screen as a heart monitor when you’re working out.So once your heart rate goes up the screen will go yellow and then chage to red if its really high – so you dont even need to see the numbers just look at the colour of the watch – genious.
—
Battery Life is absolutely amazing, I’ve run for a whole week without needing a charge! Iif you’re in essential mode only it will can go on over a month! Half hour charge gives you about 2 days usage, so last minute charging is all good.
If you switch on the 24-hour activity monitoring then charging is needed every couple of days but honestly I can’t imagine people wearing a watch for more than a day without taking it off.
—
GPS – it has GPS. Doesnt sound like a big deal but it means you can use google maps without having your phone out. Great when you’re on holiday somewhere you’re not comfortable etc, no need to have your phone out to get nicked.
—
Microphone is good – I’ve made calls over the watch just to test it out, very Dick Tracy, I wouldnt do this normally but confirm it works just fine.It has Google Wallet too, so paying at supermarkets without getting your wallet out also works absolutely fine, as does going through the tube barriers in London.
—
Highly recommended from me – it has everything I want and more, charges quickly, lasts forever, hard to damage – very happy with my purchase and the price is great too – like half the price of some of the bigger brands.
