12v 3amp adaptor. Great for CCTV cameras and many other different items.
I personally used for CCTV cameras for power being as it’s 3amp and each camera has a max 1amp draw. So being as I had 3 cameras to power and not have 3 plug sockets this was the best choice by using a 3 way splitter.
Since the adaptor has been on it hasn’t let me down at all.
Great quality and great value
Highly recommend.
I bought this because I was finding it difficult to find a 12 v 1.5 amp adapter with a 4mm tip. This came with a host of amperages and tips. Useful to have in the cupboard for most products that need a 12v adapte
I have a variety of old 12v musical keyboard where the power supplies have been lost but are each 12v – this allows me (through the use of the different tips) to power each without having to have dedicated expensive supplies for them. Also used it for other old electronics where the chargers have gone walkabout, such as remote control cars. Quite happy with it and would recommend.

I tested the power supply under full load, noting the voltage at different current levels as I increased the load. I then ran the power supply at full load for about 12 minutes, with the following results:
0A (no load) – 12.22V
1A – 12.10V
2A – 11.93V
3A – 11.76V remained at this voltage for the full duration of the full load test
The voltage drop at maximum load is 0.51V, which is fine and shouldn’t be a problem.
Testing information:
The standard way that I test many ordinary power supplies is under load whilst measuring the real time Current and Voltage.
For this, I use a simple piece of equipment – the Atorch UD18-L This is the UD18 multifunctional inline tester meter, that also comes with a finely adjustable current load. The tester is connected to the relevant supply (via USB, power jack etc. connector) and the load adjusted as required. The display shows the live state of the voltage, and the current being drawn by the load. This is yseful if you want to check the power supply’s capabilities, such as the maximum power it can supply or the voltage drop over the current range.
With a good power supply, the voltage drop at maximum current should be a small percentage of the no load voltage. Poor power supplies often have a large voltage drop at maximum purpose and may not be fit for purpose if the voltage is too low. Some might even cut out before it reaches the maximum current.
I test the power supply under full load for a period of time, usually between 10 – 30 minutes. This is normally plenty of time because any problems usually show within a couple of minutes.
I need a replacement Yamaha power supply as the original was broken. This worked as expect. No heating up, slightly warm but nothing notable. IT has multiple ends including the one required. Job done so I’d recommend it.

This adapter is great if you are in need of a replacement 12V adapter, and you don’t know the exact size connector – included in the box is a multitude of different ends to pop on the end.
It’s rated for 3A so will likely power most devices, such as WiFi routers etc that require a 12V power of less than 3A. (36W)
There is a handy light to show it’s working – this goes off during short circuit, power is established agin after removing the short.
My Multimeter read a respectable 12.27V – all in all a good device.
This is a 12V DC Power Source that’s rated at 3A or 36W max output. It’s the usual powered plug with a DC lead on the output. There are a number of different adaptors to accomodate different plug sizes on whatever you’re going to use it for. Included is a terminal block connector as well for discrete wiring.
There’s a small blue light on the powered plug but its rather dim so not always easy to see if you’ve left it on.
The unloaded output was measured at 12.25V. A load of 20W dropped this to 11.83 and while pushing the limit a bit, a load of 40W dropped the output to just 11.43V.
I tried it on a couple of 12v devices and lights and it works just fine.
A good price for a good unit.
This 12v power supply can supply up to 36w of power which is sufficient to power a small amount of LED strip or easily power up a LED desk lamp. The unit also comes with some adapter heads which could be useful in certain situations.
What is impressive about this item is the extensive range of adaptors that come with it. I also really like the way that they come on a little bracket. Usually there’s a small bag of these which makes finding the right connector more difficult.
On the power supply itself there’s a small blue light which shows when the mains power is on. However, it’s not too bright which is a great relief! It is clearly visible in daylight but I find that often very bright LEDs are used that are far brighter than an indicator needs to be.
In use the power supply worked perfectly. I tried it on an LED strip and then on a streaming audio player and it happily powered both. On the latter, I was pleased to find the connector was a good, firm fit; the previous one was slightly loose and would disconnect at the slightest tough.
I measured the cable at 1.38m between the strain-relief on both ends – that’s a useful length.
In summary, this power supply works well and has an extensive range of adaptors which stay put on a useful bracket.
