I was a bit hesitant about these headlight bulbs at first, but I’ve been pleasantly surprised. They’re definitely brighter than my old halogens, and the light is a nice, crisp white. Installation was simple enough, and they seem to be working well so far. Time will tell how they hold up in the long run.
This kit replaces the front headlight and dip beam bulb on a Hyundai ix35. (Standard halogen).
The kit is really nicely packaged, and comes with very clear instructions and some cotton gloves to avoid leaving finger oils on the bulbs I guess.
The units themselves are very nicely made, and fitting is a doddle – but make sure you familiarise yourself with orientation and the position of the locator tabs before starting.
On the ix35, the access to the bulb unit is pretty good, so exchanging the bulbs was really fast.
Just note that it’s important to ensure you get the polarity of the cables correct (+/-) or the bulbs won’t work.
Once installed, the difference is amazing. The nice white light matches the surrounding standard daylight running LEDs, and the old ‘yellow’ bulbs are gone. Fantastic.
Night driving is transformed – very clear lighting of even the darkest country lanes, and no issues so far with bulb beam alignment.
Highly recommended.
I used this product on a Prius the bulb went in without any struggle, I connected the cables to the harness, the issue I could was the connectors was a dangling cable rather than a built-in rigid plastic one, this was a minor issue anyway.
The light was nice and bright, worked exactly how I have hoped, beam visible for at least 10 meters ahead, roughly about 10-25 fade.
Overall, I thought these bulbs did the job pretty well.
These bulbs are bright. My eyesight is getting worse with age so on dark roads I need the additional lighting then the old halogen lights provide. These give you that extra white light so that you can get that extra vision . They fitted without too much trouble.
Don’t know how long they will last but if they stay as bright as they are then it should be all good.
very good decision that changed my car bulbs from normal halogen to this type of led bulbs and yes, is a big difference. The previous ones were not too bad but these ones look more promising and seems to be a much better quality plus they are brighter, as shown in pictures.
all work as expected and there are no errors in the dashboard or radio interferences. There is no flickering at all, just a better and longer vision at night. Road signs can be seen from a longer distance and are better illuminated. In my opinion this bulbs can also increase driving safety as they offer a longer and clearer view which increase the visibility.
fits perfect H7 connection type bulbs and installation is relatively easy , but this depends from car to car. For my car, bmw 318, are 2 methods, first to take the wheels off to have a clear and easy view of what’s inside the bulb housing, but this require more tools + time, at the second method is necessary to turn the steering wheel maximum left /right to be able to have access to the bulbs, this one is more meticulous and require patience. I advice to use the gloves provided in the pack, very useful at least for the second method.
Price at the moment of the review is 25.99, quite good compared with similar. 5 stars from me and hope there will be no errors in dashboard, flickering or any problems with.
These are what I wanted – much brighter than my ageing halogen bulbs.
The come packaged with a set of white cotton gloves to avoid you touching the LEDs with bare hands and leaving natural skin oils on the lights.
Fitting is easy – just swap out the old bulbs and put these in.
One thing to note though.. the fans stick out a long way so if you have a rubber weather shield over the back of your bulb it might not be possible to refit this..
The connector is on a lead so differs from halogens in that you don’t connect up directly to the back of the bulb.
