I’ve been using this wireless Carplay screen in my car for a few weeks and it works pretty well overall. Setup was easy, I just stuck it to my dashboard with the included adhesive mount and connected my iPhone via Bluetooth. The 7-inch screen is nice and clear, even in direct sunlight. Using Google Maps with Carplay is a big improvement over looking at my phone. The screen is responsive and navigation is easy. I like that I can control everything with voice commands through Siri, it’s safer when driving. Music apps work well too, I can change playlists and podcasts easily. The high pitch noise while using Carplay is annoying. It’s not super loud but it’s there in the background all the time. I’m not sure if that’s normal or a problem with my unit. It’s not a deal breaker but it’s noticeable. I haven’t tried Android Auto since I’m an iPhone user. But it’s good to know the option is there if I ever switch. For the price, I’m happy with this. It’s not as slick as the Carplay integration in newer cars but it’s a good upgrade for my older vehicle. The adhesive mount seems solid, it hasn’t fallen or moved around. I’d recommend this if you want wireless Carplay in your car without spending a ton of money. Just be aware of the possible high pitch noise.
This is a fantastic alternative. If you do not have Apple CarPlay built-in it connect instantly to your phone without issue although there may be a couple of issues in certain cars such as needing to turn off auto connect for Bluetooth as it will be looking for your phone and not, the device overall the screen quality is good. The sound is brilliant and I can totally recommend this if you’re after something like it.
