Backpack is a little bit small, but if you want it just for water then yeah it’s ok with a little bit of room for your bits, waste straps are small if you are a little bit larger than a 34 waste. Apart from that the backpack looks good when you were it. Also it has reflectors when you are out at the night. Great little item for the place.
I gave this to a friend who ran the London marathon she absolutely loved it had quite a few people asking her about it as well.
NO messing about fumbling with bottles a massive 12 litre bag , ok she said a little heavy when full but then you are fitter at the start , by the time she had finished she did feal it but it carried her snacks and mobile phone (trust her lol) she did keep it so must be good.
I had used it before that as a giggle at a BBQ said it was full of beer ;P
A great idea for hiking, bike rides , runs or BBQ lol
worth the money.
This water backpack is great.
I have taken up walking with my Norwegian poles, this backpack is a good solution for staying hydrated.
I find it very comfortable and like the waist strap.
It remains comfortable throughout my ~45 minutes walk without my back getting too sweaty.
Enough pockets for all the bits and bobs I need to carry,
Very happy with it.
First off I am impressed with the compartments on this and the hydration bag itself. The size may be an issue for some if running hence my title, but I think the size is a bonus.
The bag itself has many compartments which are zipped which helps me to feel more comfortable that nothing will fall out or get stolen as easily. Likewise, a lot more can fit into the compartments as they are larger.
The hydration bag is large in size and has a large opening making it easier to fill. There are clips on the inside of the main bag to keep the hydration bag in place. In addition, there is a small hole to push the tube from the hydration bag through which goes down the right arm and stays in place with a elastic strip of material.
The tube itself has a mouth cap on the end to protect the end from the outside elements and also has a valve to turn in and off the water supply – so preventing spillages if the mouth cap wasn’t in place. I think this is a nice touch and thought has been put into it.
There is also a clip strap which goes around your waist to keep it in place, rather than under your chest which I think is a bonus for women, especially those with larger chests.
So far I do not see any issues with it yet. I would recommend to others.
I really like this smaller size of hydration backpack.
It’s neat and well made, and comfortable to wear (I’m female, 5’10”). The backpack feels sturdy and well put together; there aren’t a lot of unnecessary frills that you don’t really need and will never actually use. This is the straight rucksack style, rather than the vest ones, which are okay, but I don’t really want the extra heat and nuisance that the wide front pockets add when I’m running. I like to be aware of the rucksack as little as possible.
The fabric is the usual super-lightweight polyester, with the bladder compartment close to the body, and a good-sized zipped pocket in front of it, to store anything else you need.. All the zips and toggles and buckles seem good quality, and the stitching was neat and even, with no loose threads to cut off.
It also has a basic hip belt, which is a good thing to have when the water bladder is full, as it stops too much movement of the rucksack against your back.
The included bladder is perfectly usable too, perhaps a fraction thinner than my separately-bought ones, but it’s double-seamed, and has a great sized water stopper at the top so that you can get inside and clean and dry it properly, and leave the stopper off to keep it aired when not in use. I really like the large openings for putting ice in the bladder in summer–nothing beats keeping your back really cool when hiking/running on a hot day!
I gave the whole unit a few washes and flushes through with some Steradent before i used it (always keep it in because aside from this it’s great for flasks, camping water containers, cups, teapots, port bottles, and anything else you need to deep clean and remove stains from, but don’t want any taste to be left behind!), and the water I drank from the bladder that afternoon had no taste at all.
All in all I’m very happy with this. It does its job well, and at a reasonable price.
