These colorful 8.5-inch doodle boards are perfect for children aged 3 to 8, allowing them to draw, write, and express their imagination without the mess of traditional art supplies. They make fantastic birthday gifts, promoting creativity and education while keeping kids engaged for hours!
Pros
Educational Tool: Encourages creativity and learning through drawing, writing, and doodling, making it a great educational toy for young children.
Multiple Uses: Suitable for various activities, such as drawing, note-taking, practicing letters, or solving math problems, enhancing its versatility.
Eco-Friendly: Reduces paper waste as kids can reuse the tablet multiple times, promoting environmentally friendly practices from a young age.
Lightweight and Portable: Easy to carry, making it perfect for travel, car rides, or on-the-go entertainment, keeping kids engaged during trips.
Colorful Display: The colorful screen can capture children’s attention, making the drawing experience more fun and appealing.
Easy to Use: Simple design that allows children to draw or write with minimal effort, encouraging independent play.
Durable Construction: Typically made with sturdy materials that can withstand rough handling by young children, ensuring longevity.
Cons
Limited Functionality: Compared to traditional art supplies, the drawing capabilities may feel limited to some users, as the tablet may not offer various brush styles or colors.
Screen Brightness: In bright sunlight or well-lit environments, the display may be difficult to see, which could hinder usability outdoors.
Battery Dependency: Requires batteries for the LCD functionality, which means it can run out of power, and users may need to keep spare batteries on hand.
Fragility: While generally durable, the screen may be prone to scratches or damage if not handled carefully, especially with young children.
No Save Feature: Drawings are erased with a button press, and there is no way to save creations, which may disappoint children wanting to keep their artwork.
Potential for Distraction: The novelty of the tablet could lead to overuse, distracting children from other important activities or learning experiences.
This 4 Pack of LCD Writing Tablets is great considering the price and a fun way for children to get creative whilst at home or on the go.
There are four different coloured writing tablets including a pink, light blue, darker blue and green. I like that they’re all different colours as it keeps them interesting and is perfect for multiple children to have one each and be able to identify which is theirs easily.
The writing tablets are thinner than I was expecting and feel to be made from a flimsy plastic but they work well and I guess this is to be expected for such an affordable set. The pen isn’t on a string but one can be attached which is probably for the best before we lose a pen.
The tablets are smooth to write on and the multicoloured colours show through well after the tablet has been drawn on. There is a bin button which instantly erases everything on the tablet and there is also a lock button behind which prevents the bin button from working which is great for any masterpieces that are to be saved for a little while.
These are cheap but so is the price, I would recommend them if you’re looking for an affordable and reusable way to draw and they’re perfect for on the go.
This pack of 3 writing tablets, was not as expected. They are very thin, although thats not a problem. When you turn them on, the writing shows up brighter than when turned off, the difference is not that significant. The advert makes them look a lot brighter than they are. To delete the writing, just press the bin icon. Although they do work, in reality they are not that good, ok for small children though.
I think these are a great idea. Yes they are very basic, you can’t save your work (apart from photographing it), and the lcd screen is coloured so you are limited to that. BUT, as a replacement for pen and paper for general doodling, list making etc, they are brilliant (and that’s just for adults). Having the ability to clear the screen and start again saves having frustrating amounts of “rubbish” lying around. Just make sure you remember there is no “undo” button and you can’t erase a small mistake.
The are well built, very light and you can protect your work from erasure by switching the lock button on. Unfortunately you can still draw in lock mode, and easily draw marks accidentally with your finger, taking it out of a bag etc.
There is a bit of work needed by the company to make this a 5 star product but to be honest, 8.49 with an extra 15% off voucher (at the time of review) for a pack of 3 is great value. One has gone to our granddaughter for her to practise drawing and her letters; one to little “Wild & Beardy” so he can practise his drawing skills without wasting paper; the final one is staying with me and Mrs “Wild & Beardy” for doodling and general lists
