At work we are starting to use Raspberry Pi 5 boards as low-cost relay controllers (running Ubuntu) and because I have long enjoyed tinkering with various low-cost single-board computers I volunteered to be the software resource for the Pi 5 project. So I have been evaluating all sorts of Pi 5 boards and cases, and heat sinks.
Because I don’t have a “virgin” Pi 5 board (one that doesn’t already have a fan) I decided to evaluate the performance of this fan by plugging it into one of my Pi 5 boards that already did have a fan, just to see how much noise it makes. In the attached primitive video I hope to demonstrate that this fan is incredibly quiet.
The kit also comes with all necessary screws and spacer plus a nice acrylic base plate for the Pi board itself. This is just what you may want if you are using the Pi 5 in a lab without a proper case.
A perfect fit and does the job well, a quite fan with all the parts screws and studs you need.
Not a lot you can say apart from it’s well made and comes with everything you need.
