This dart board protective wall cover was very easy to put together, you really don’t need any instructions for this.
What I did struggle with was how does the protective ring stay in place as there is not a way to hang the surround. It looks like you have to rely on the surround fitting snugly against the dart board and the dart board keeps it in place.
Unfortunately, our dart board is against an (undercover) outside door which does not have the flattest of surfaces. Occasionally, when the dart hit the board the moved and the surround fell off!
I think the surround would work best with the dartboard against a flat surface, or if the surround was attached to the surface behind in some way.
Apart from this the foam is thick and it captures the darts well. It obviously provides protection to the area around your dartboard better than not having it…
The ring offers a good level of protection for your walls but only if your dart tips are less than or equal to 23mm.
My darts have 32mm tips and so can go through the ring, depending on the angle and power that I throw them at, so I would have to use some different darts or risk damaging the wall.
I find it quite misleading that the pictures in the listing show this ring as once piece (I appreciate the description states that it comes in 4 pieces) however, that can easily be missed if you had glanced at the images and assumed it was 1 piece. (Star dropped due to this and the fact its only 23mm and this information is not stated on the listing or in the images)
