I am using this cable to occasionally connect my previous generating iPhone to a large monitor. It’s only to watch YouTube. It doesn’t work with some applications as they have built-in protection to prevent sharing this way.
Excellent quality!
The is an excellent cable for connecting your phone to a larger screen TV. One important thing to note is that NONE of these cables allow you to show copyrighted content, such as you get with apps such as Netflix, Sky TV, Prime, Apple TV, etc. Easiest way to look at it is that if it’s a TV service that you pay for, then the chances are that this is not going to work as it will be copyright protected using the HDCP (High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection) system.
This is excellent if you want to watch things on YouTube and similar apps. I have a new TV in the living room which my phone can instantly cast to wirelessly. My older TV in the dining room does not support Wireless casting and that is what I purchased this cable for. This is as simple as anything to use. You simply plug one end into your phone, the other into a spare HDMI port on your TV, then make sure you select this port as your input source on the TV and you should be instantly connected. You should get a message on your phone screen saying something like Do you trust this device, so just select yes or OK to that and that is it, you are ready to go.
The cable itself has a lovely tight knit nylon braiding and aluminium alloy connectors at both ends. One thing that isn’t reflected correctly in the advert pictures is that the aluminium connector at the HDMI end of this cable actually has a corrugated effect either side of it. The advert must be using older pictures, but the cable is definitely the correct one as the model number on the box matches the advert. This corrugated effect not only adds character to the cable and makes it look better, but the corrugated shell helps with heat dissipation as you have a larger surface area for the heat to escape over.
Works perfectly to cast my iPad to the TV without fussing around trying to do it over internet or Bluetooth. It works well with no lag when viewing photos or playing videos, with a good resolution and no pixelation. I am impressed with it and it is good value.
works well you plug it into your hdmi port and it can mirror your mobile if you have a mobile c connector
recomended.
brail cable … which are the standard new type cables …
If you happen to have one of the compatible devices listed you can make it far larger by connecting it to your TV, unfortunately unable to be used for most streaming services as they have built in protection (not the fault of this cable) but ones that aren’t and downloaded videos likely work fine not to mention other games or apps would work well allowing you to turn (it’d pair well with a wireless controller or keyboard). You’d be surprised how many mobile games are more detailed than even a detailed ipad screen would let on. That aside this sort of thing is worth having around anyway.
I recently purchased the Lightning to HDMI Adapter with a 1.5m HDMI cable for my iPhone, and it’s been incredibly useful. It supports 1080P@60Hz, making streaming videos or mirroring my phone to the TV seamless and smooth. The setup was quick—just plug and play—and it worked perfectly for presentations and watching movies on a larger screen. The build quality of the cable is solid, and the length gives enough flexibility to connect without feeling restricted. Ideal for anyone looking to extend their iPhone’s display onto a TV or monitor.
I have an app that works best on the mobile phone. This cable enables me to transfer the display to a large monitor or to my laptop which I can use for presenting and demonstrating it to prospective clients. The cable works as expected and is built well.
Sometimes it’s just useful to be able to connect directly to a non smart tv, whether to show some pictures or some videos or to show people how to do something. This works fine, plug and play, and is useful thing to leave connected to your tv, if you have a spare HDMI, or leave somewhere nearby.
