This is a set of six individual colour coded, wooden handled, stainless steel telescopic toasting/multi-use forks, bagged.
The set is best stored inside it’s strong material drawstring bag, as it is able to cope with the sharp prongs.
The wooden handles are a good heat barrier, yet precluding them to be placed in a dishwasher.
These are best and easily washed, in the conventional way.
Each fork has it’s own unique fixed coloured ring where the metal fork’s shaft meets the handle.
The fork’s length ranges from 12.2″/31cm to 32″/81.5cm and may be set to any length in between.
Apart from being used for toasting, may be used as a BBQ fork (extended, avoiding the wooden handle) or fondue fork.
Remember that the longer the fork is extended, the less control you may have in it’s use.
I have found that the distance between the two prongs (tines), is just right in practice.
This is a versatile, easy to use, clean and store set.
These will not stretch the budget, nor your arm and indeed are worth ‘forking’ out for.
These come with a storage bag.
The forks are essentially old school car aerials with a handle on one end and a fork on the other. The handle is fine as is the fork but at full extension it does get a bit bendy. Lucky you’re not likely to need to fully extend it as around half way should be enough.
The colour coding on the handle is made from plastic which seems an odd choice, personally I wouldn’t have bothered with it. I don’t know if it’s a plastic with a high melting point and won’t be trying to find out but it looks like fairly cheap plastic so I doubt it is.
For light duty cooking such as toasting marshmallows these are very good especially as they work out at not much over a pound each.
