This Vailge is cheap, the cheapest 200x200x75 cover I could find on Amazon. It’s also the thinnest at 210 denier. Without exception all the others in this price range were 420 denier or 600 denier. A cover that is this big and this thin will tend to rip more easily. However, it’s made of Oxford cloth, so will take quite a lot of punishment, just not as much as the thicker versions.
Buckles and ties will help keep this cover in place, but there’s a gap of several inches between the bottom hem and the floor. Plenty of space for wind to get underneath and cause mayhem. To keep cover and furniture earthbound the cover should reach the ground and be anchored down to stop the ingress of high winds.
Garden furniture covers are usually coated on the inside with polyurethane rather than PVC as this one is. Both are 100% waterproof, but PVC loses its elasticity in very cold weather which can lead to a tendency to crack.
This Vailge cover is well made and although not as sturdy as some is still good value at 20.99.
