The Switch fits quite snugly into the grip when first inserted and I was worried that it would be difficult to remove again but it was actually very easy to get it back out. Once in place, there are 2 locking tabs to secure the Switch in the grip so it can’t fall out. There are loads of buttons which are all responsive and the light-up effect is kind of a novelty, but after a while it just seems a bit pointless and pretty much just wastes the battery. Whilst on the subject of batteries, the grip has its own built-in battery so it’s not sapping power from the Switch. It’s easy to install and set up. If there’s anything we don’t like about it, it’s that the plastic feels a little too “plasticky” and cheap on the parts that you hold, and also that the screen seems to be naturally tilted slightly away from the user, so it feels necessary to tilt it towards yourself which I find (personally, of course your mileage may vary) causes a little wrist strain. But it’s fine once you get used to it. All in all it’s a nice addition to the Switch, you can store a bunch of games in the top/back of it, and I would recommend it.
