What are the benefits of using Metal Detox?
Is this product scented?
This shampoo leaves my hair feeling extremelly clean, I’m not sure what benefit the metal detoxing has but my scalp has felt healthier since using this too. The shampoo lathers up nicely and creates a nice thick foam which can be massaged into the scalp, washing out easily too. It has a pleasant scent which isnt too overpowering, but i think this shampoo is more for the functionality of detoxing the hair. It claims to offer protection from metal particals and heat too – presuming when using heat stylers so thats a bonus to know my hair is protected.
Usually pump shampoos are great as I can monitor how much i’m using. However when I use multiple pumps at once to get enough to coat my hair, by the 3rd pump it struggles to dispense much shampoo – need to give a minute to catch up again.
None the less this is a great shampoo and would definitely recommend.
A really lovely shampoo.
Lathers well, rises out and leaves my hair feeling soft and more manageable.
My new go-to shampoo.
Comes in a great pump bottle for ease of dispense.
This made my hair softer than it has been before when it felt thick and brittle. This shampoo has changed my look on hair wash time. It is about three times more expensive than usual shampoo on average. But I think its work the extra money. You don’t need to waste money on conditioner and you don’t need a lot of it. So, it lasts about the same time with less bottles cluttering the bathroom cupboard.
Until I saw this product on Amazon, I had never heard of metal detox shampoo. I had never realised that this was a problem especially with coloured hair. As I have been colouring my hair for many years I thought this product was worth a try. My hair is long, naturally curly and inclined to frizz so I have always used decent conditioners and have been very fussy about which conditioners I use. When I used this shampoo for the 1st time I wondered whether I should use conditioner after shampooing. Would this affect the way the detox shampoo worked? I, therefore, decided that I would use the shampoo on it own and omit the conditioner for this occasion at least. I half expected my hair to turn out frizzy and dry but to my pleasant surprise it did not! Even without conditioner, my hair felt soft and manageable and less frizzy than usual. This shampoo is expensive so I will continue using the bottle I have and then weigh up whether to continue using it. I note that a metal detox mask is also available. Again this is expensive but I am thinking about giving it a try. It would be helpful to try out both products together.
Like many who have already commented here, I’ve found that you dont need much shampoo at all from the pump to make for a good lather. Three or four pumps and you’ve more than enough. This definitely feels like a quality shampoo and unlike some brands if leaves your hair feeling fresher for longer. No itching!
For someone who uses hair gel a lot this shampoo is a godsend. Standard shampoos just dont seem to do a decent job and you feel you need to wash your hair daily – something I’m not a fan of.
The bottle I recieved was a 500ml but yet the description says 250ml. Not sure if that’s changed since I ordered or just incorrect. Definitely a 500ml bottle recieved though.
Value-wise I’d personally say this is a bit pricey. I appreciate that it’s a very good quality shampoo and, if indeed you still get 500ml for just over 30, compared to the cost of a standard bottle of similar quantity you’re paying about triple the price for this.
If you’re already paying a lot for hair maintenance then this may not seem costly to you. If, like me, you’re not used to that kind of money I’d likely only get this product once in a blue moon or when on a decent discount offer. It’s a great product though, no denying that.
My hair was over coloured, feeling super dry and brittle. My hairdresser recommended i use this to help improve the quality of my hair. Since starting to use this shampoo my hair is soo improved. Is so much softer and the condition is 100% better.
This shampoo really does make a significant difference if you live in a hard water area, producing a very noticeable improvement in softness and glossiness after only a few uses. The fragrance as you would expect from L’Oreal is lovely. The dispensing pump is also a welcome addition compared to the smaller bottles.
Be aware the title states 250ml, however this product listing is actually for the 500ml bottle with a pump as shown in the images.
Priced at just over 31 at time of review this is not cheap, but if you live in a hard water area is worth the price tag.
