Either I am terrible at this and need more practice (probable) or it has it in for me.
My reflexes aren’t terrible (so I thought) but I find myself getting bopped in the eyes and nose quite a bit. Not much time to defend against the flying object!
However, once you get a rhythm and keep at it, it becomes quite a good test to keep yourself out of harms way and hit. I would like to add, it’s a very light slap that you get with no bruises to show yet!
To any aspiring boxer/fighter, I would recommend!
Initially bought just to change up my training, adding this to it to train my speed, hand eye coordination, some footwork and just a little bit of boxing.
2 set of foam balls though I cant tell the difference in firmness.
The string seems a little too long for me so had to tie it up a little to make to suitable for me.
Nice to have a little kit to add to your training.
Ive been using this as part of my daily boxing training and I can say this certainly improved my head movement, I like how I can control how fast the ball comes back to my head with the power of my punches.
Additionally when I started I could only do like 3-5 punches in a row but after constant practice I am getting 10-18 punches and this has improved my hand eye coordination.
The best thing about it is that its small, adjustable to any size person and is easy to take in your boxing bag
Would reccommend to any boxers
For the price I think this is extremely good value. The balls are soft and although the elastic that attaches to the balls is very flimsy as long as you are only using it for it’s intended purpose it should last. I’ve seen reflex balls with much thicker stronger elastic but obviously that increases the price. As long as you take care of it and only use it as intended it will be fine for a long time. It comes in two difficulty levels. The Red ball being the harder (almost impossible level at the moment for me level) and the black being the easier level. There is no differenence in the balls in terms of hardness or softness the only difference is the colour the difficultly level is achieved with the elastic string that connects the balls. They are both elastic but one has a much faster recoil than the other. So when you punch the red ball it comes back almost twice as faster which means you have to punch faster and harder which in turn itself makes it more difficult. So if you’ve never tried a reflex ball before with this pack you’ll want to start on the Black ball.
This takes a bit of practice to use, but it’s really fun.
The ball is quite soft, so it doesn’t hurt if it hits you in the face, but it’s still quite satisfying to hit and responsive to punches.
The velcro head strap is quite wide and fits both adults and kids. It’s not the smoothest strap, so will leave some wrinkles on your forehead after a few minutes of use.
The elastic string is very long, so you have plenty of options for where you want it to hang.
I’m very happy with this and it’s already getting a lot of use by the whole family.
