This cover is nto as thick as some others I had, which were 420D.
This said, it does not necessarily mean that the thinner cover will last less, it really depends on the materials.
This one is a bit plasticky but quite strong, so I expect it to last at least a season, and it is less likely to attract cats than thicker ones which feel more like fabric. This is important for me because the main cause of damage to our garden covers are the neighbours’ cats, which love to rest on them and pierce them with their claws.
So, for me that’s a plus.
It has bucles to keep it in place, and they are really necessary because it is a light cover, easily blown away in high winds.
All considered it is good enough and did not leak under the recent torrential rains.
Excellent large and very versatile
We use this to cover the BBQ and garden table
this covers both and with much to spare
Excellent smooth waterproof and with excellent durability and thickness
Adjustable with the straps and clips
Stays secure and water tight
Excellent price
Very good size and shape to allow cover of multiple items.
Fixing / lashing straps are double stitched into the main seam so less chance of water ingress.
The 2 lifting handle loops are a good addition as they give some visual reference for corners etc.
Vent holes pre fitted to prevent stale air build up.
Internal solar layer to protect furniture from long periods of exposure.
Straps aren’t fitted with quick release buckles but instead use a threaded strap and friction buckle which isn’t the easiest to secure on such a large item.
Overall fabric quality is on the slim slide for something that you wound expect to take a beating in the UK winter.
Having a wooden bench which is the worse for wear after a British winter, I obtained this Waterproof Garden Furniture Cover by Neuradical to protect it from the elements.
The size obtained i.e. 255 cms x 255 cms x 90 cms is more than adaquate. It seems well-made with reinforced seams and the inner silver layer will protect against the effects of heat. I have not been able to test it against inclement weather because, in the last month, there have been no high winds and only very light rain. However, the cover has stayed in place and no water has penetrated. I was pleasantly surprised by the reflective handles which conveniently contrast with the black colour of the cover and save you searching for them and will allow you to find them in failing light if you decide to enjoy the garden at night.
It is the first such cover that I have used and I am pleased with the protection given. Recommended. 5 stars.
I have, over the years, had a few outdoor covers to help protect my garden furniture.
This one is in use over my table and 6 chairs. It works well and holds down OK during stormy weather so far. The tie down system seems to hold its own and there are vents to prevent mould.
My only concern is the thinness of the plastic material as I have had similar things before that have ripped in heavier weather.
I’ll have to update this review later in the year and let you know.
I will certainly be packing all my sharp edges and corners to minimise the risks!
For the money I would be pleased enough if it lasted a couple of seasons.
Certainly worth a try
This cover is particularly good for largish, square-ish furniture but be mindful of a few things before you buy. It is also useful for covering other large gardens pieces that will benefit from protection in various weathers. An obvious thing to say but worth emphasising is you should measure carefully before ordering.
We have found with covers we’ve used previously that it is best if sides can be fastened securely and reasonably ‘tautly’. This cover has a number of helpful features to help with this. For when using with furniture, there are four buckled belts to fasten around legs. Alongside this are additional ‘belts’ that can be tightened on two sides. For covering other items that maybe don’t have legs using additional straps will be helpful.
Additional to having these ‘belts’ there are air vents, easily seen reflective straps and a silver inner which offers extra protection. The external part of this covering seems good quality although it does feel thinner that some we have had previously. Time will tell how long this will last when tested under the extremes of the British weather.
This cover offers good protection with useful features. If it is the right dimensions for your purposes then I think it is worth considering alongside others.
Also if possible, I’d recommend having something underneath, in the middle, that allows the rain to run off avoiding puddles of water / snow collecting. We’ve lost a few of these things where they’ve stretched and snapped under the weight of rain/snow.
I had in the past got covers for chairs, tables, outside sofa set, BBQ and so on, so I know that these items work, but just recently there has been a lot of wind and rain, which I suppose is just a typical British Summer, so I though that I could get a huge cover, move things together, use their own covers to keep them clean and tidy, and the put a big one over the lot.
This is what I got this cover for, and it works perfectly, I am so pleased that I have had this brainwave, my better half even commented that it was ” a good idea” and then followed it up with “where did you get it from”… LOL.. I said it was my own idea and I never saw it anywhere. Not sure they believe me !
The cover is like the others quite well made, it is thin, but then for the size it needs to be to be able to get it over everything easily, the clasps to keep it taught are well made and keep the cover fully tight, I put the chairs in, in such a way that there is a slope, so the rain rolls off, the silver colour underneath I assume is for more items like hot tubs, as it serves no real purpose here, except another layer of protection.
I do not know how ling this will last, but if I get three or four years out of it, and it means the covers underneath last even longer, then it has been worthwhile getting.
