Just the job for keeping hands warm, even on lowest setting put them inside gloves (in the palm f your hand) and they warm up cold hands, keeping them warm for hours on a single charge. Quick to recharge.
I don’t have much experience with hand warmers, as I find it very rarely gets cold enough here in London. I do have a fan with a hand warming function, which has a strong battery, as it also serves as power bank. These are quicker to warm up, and on the highest setting especially, achieve a good heat output.
They are nice and small, easy to carry, and you get a pouch, strong silicone handles and a double USB A to C charge cable, so you can charge both from one outlet.
Instructions are good, and they have all required safety certifications.
A long press turns them on, short press to adjust the 3 levels of heat, and double press to check battery levels, which shows in blue. According to specs they last 8, 6 and 4 hours respectively, on low, middle and high, which will vary depending on ambient temperature, of course.
They also have a weak magnet in the back, to keep them together, but which is not strong enough to attach them to a ferrous surface.
They are 7 x 4 cm and 16 mm thick.
This is a Vine Voice review, but that has not changed my opinion and I only review items I would buy.
You can see my rating system on my public profile under my bio, as I don’t want to add it to every review.
We bought 2 sets of these as we support Aberdeen football club and it’s coming into winter here. Previously we used the one-use hand warmers but they weren’t great.
These arrived quickly and come with everything you need; a small drawstring carry bag, a USB split charger allowing both andsets to be charged from the one port and two mini lanyards to wrap round your wrists to avoid dropping them (should your team score and you leap to cheer them!)
I chose the cute floral pattern one (it’s LOVELY) and my husband ordered the black one. They both look great. The button system is easy to operate and offers three heat settings. Easy to switch on and off. They are well made. Great value for money. Better for the environment than the single use ones and they stay at a consistent heat for hours. I’m delighted with them.
Overall these handwarmer work well. I do have another set which are larger than these, and I felt that these were just a little small, but it depends where you use them, if they are in a pocket of a pair of jeans they would be fine, if you want to heat a large pocket of a coat, they might be just a little too small.
I tested each power setting to see how long they would last and on low power they actually lasted longer than than stated (8 hours)!
Low – 10.5 hours
Medium – 6.5 hours
High – 5 hours
They do indeed heat up very, very quickly. The low setting is not cool by any means but I think for the most part you’d probably want the medium, as the high can get very hot indeed. So although I got 10.5 hours out of low mode, I personally would use medium and get 6.5 hours out of them.
They come with a handy USB charge cable which gives you a lead that is split into two connectors so you can plug into one USB in the charger then have two charge plugs to charge them at the same time, of course this will reduce charge time.
Charging them one at a time it took 4 hours and 20 minutes on a third party (it does not come with a charger) 3.1amp charger (or at least that is what the charger states, I have no idea if it gives what it states is true).
Overall these are pretty good and perform well.
I think these are great value. Only thing is that the three heat levels seem to modulate by pulsing on and off (lowest = more time “off”, whereas highest = more time “on”) so even on the lowest setting they do actually get very hot for a few seconds while it pulses up and down. Shame it’s not a more even, constant modulation of the temperature but still happy.
