We love a family game on holiday. This is a great addition to our selection. Easy to get the gist of. Although you can get out pretty quickly and the others may still be playing for a while!
I bought 5 Alive for my two children (aged 9 and 6) who like to play Uno so thought I would take a chance on this game when i stumbled upon it. They were able to quickly learn the rules and then invited me to play with them. 5 Alive is easy to learn and after a few games everyone’s moves became more strategic! Good value for money. I would recommend this game.
The Hasbro Gaming 5 Alive is a delightful addition to our family game nights. This fast-paced card game has brought hours of entertainment to both kids and adults in our household. Here’s why I think it’s a great choice for families:
Quick and Easy Gameplay: One of the standout features of 5 Alive is its simplicity. It’s incredibly easy to learn and can be enjoyed by players of all ages. This makes it a fantastic choice for those spontaneous game nights when you don’t want to spend hours reading through rulebooks.
Portable and Versatile: The compact size of the cards and the small rule booklet make 5 Alive a great travel game. Whether you’re on a family vacation or just looking for something to pass the time at a cafe, this game is easy to take with you.
Interactive Gameplay: The game encourages interaction and friendly banter among players as you, block opponents, and try to be the last person standing. It’s a fantastic way to bond and create lasting memories with friends and family.
The reason I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that while the gameplay is undeniably fun, it may not be as engaging for older kids and adults as it is for younger children. It’s a bit more luck-based than strategy-based, which might leave some players wanting a bit more depth in their game. Nonetheless, for what it is—a quick and enjoyable card game for family gatherings—it does the job admirably.
In conclusion, Hasbro Gaming 5 Alive is a fantastic game for introducing younger kids to the world of card games. It’s simple, fast-paced, and sure to provide hours of laughter and fun during family game nights. While it may not offer the same level of strategic depth as some other card games, its accessibility and ability to bring people together make it a worthwhile addition to your collection.
