SAUNORCH Universal Travel Adapter, PD 35W 7 in 1 International Power Plug Adapter with 7.0A 4 USB-C and 2 USB-A Fast Wall Charger, Worldwide AC Outlet for US Europe UK AUS (Black+Silver)
This adapter is incredibly versatile, with the ability to use this in many different countries, and has USB-C and USB-A ports too. You change the pin settings with the use of clearly marked sliders, and these work well and are easy to use. This comes with safety cut-offs which is reassuring, and so far it has worked really well. It’s chunky, so I don’t worry about it getting broken in transit, and it’s small enough to easily pop into your suitcase or rucksack for long or short travels. Currently priced at 17.59, well priced for the quality and longevity.
This is the ultimate travel adaptor. It not only allows use in up to 200 countries, but the compact and clever slider design means that it’s all totally integrated.
It’s much lighter than I anticipated, and even travelling domestically, it’s become my new no.1 work travel plug for USB devices too – with 6 ports (including one fast PD USB C port) there’s more than enough for my work trips where I often have 2 phones, my smartwatch, and headphones often needing top-up charging.
Very solid, robust, and yet light and packable.
Thumbs-up.
The SAUNORCH Universal Travel Adapter is a comprehensive solution for travellers needing a reliable way to charge multiple devices across various countries. It comes with a handy travel pouch and is well-constructed, featuring a sleek and compact design. The adapter includes multiple plug types for the US, UK, Europe, and Australia, making it suitable for a wide range of international destinations. The sliding mechanism to switch between plug types is smooth and locks securely, ensuring ease of use. Additionally, the adapter includes a resettable fuse for added safety, although it does not convert voltage, so users must ensure their devices are compatible with the local electrical system.
One of the standout features of this adapter is its ability to charge up to seven devices simultaneously. It offers four USB-C ports, including one 35W fast-charging port, and two USB-A ports, providing ample options for charging various gadgets. This makes it particularly useful for those who travel with multiple devices, such as smartphones, tablets, and laptops. The adapter’s robust build and multiple functionalities justify its slightly bulkier size compared to simpler models. However, the plastic earth pin for the UK plug is a minor drawback, as it lacks true grounding and may be prone to breaking. Despite this, the adapter’s overall performance and convenience make it a valuable travel accessory.
Priced at around 25.99, the SAUNORCH Universal Travel Adapter is more expensive than basic travel plugs, but its versatility and ability to charge multiple devices make it a worthwhile investment. The adapter’s solid and durable build, combined with its wide compatibility, ensures that it can be used confidently in various travel scenarios. Whether for international or domestic travel, this adapter offers a reliable and convenient solution for keeping all your devices charged and ready to go.
This is a fantastic universal travel adapter
A must for when travelling, it’s easy to store as it folds neatly back on to the adapter
Has all the plugs from most places, USA, UK and most of Europe
Although it doesn’t convert voltage, it has USB C etc also on the adapter ready to be plugged
Well compact it’s easy to put away once you’re done.
Only criticism would be that the buttons to open the adapter are quite stiff so you need to use force, which won’t be ideal for older folks.
Apart from that and considering the price I think is a great buy
The ‘SAUNORCH Universal Travel Adapter, PD 35W 7 in 1 International Power Plug Adapter with 7.0A” is a sleek little travel adapter.
It arrives with a little travel pouch and is very nicely constructed.
the slides to convert it in each mode work well and stop the ability to lock out more than one mode at a time. With the huge amount of USB slots this does not need to be just a foreign travel adaptor and is useful for domestic travel as well. The 35w PD USB slot alongside the various 12-15 watt USB-A/C slots means you can charge all gadgets at one plug socket and it even tells you how many watts per slot are available on the adapter itself.
At 25.99 it’s not cheap – especially considering you can get travel plugs for less than a fiver, however this does a lot more than a simple travel plug and can be used pretty much anywhere.
ied out the SAUNORCH Universal Travel Adapter under the Vine programme, which allows me to order products in exchange for an unbiased review. Overall, I found it to be a very useful device. It even comes with a little storage bag, a nice touch for keeping things organised while traveling.
The adapter is versatile, covering a wide range of international plug types, making it usable in various countries. However, it’s important to note that it doesn’t support countries that use type D plugs, so be sure to double-check that it covers the destinations you plan to visit.
In addition to adapting to different mains sockets, the adapter also offers two USB-A and four USB-C sockets, providing plenty of options for charging multiple devices. One of the USB-C ports supports 35W fast charging, which is particularly useful. However, it’s worth noting that the output power drops when multiple USB ports are used simultaneously.
The adapter is a bit chunky, but it’s a device you can leave in your travel bag with confidence, knowing it covers many destinations. It seems well made and includes a resettable fuse, adding an extra layer of safety.
The sliders make it easy to set the adapter to the specific electrical socket you need to connect to. Remember, this is not a voltage converter, so ensure the equipment you use with it is compatible with the electrical system in the country you’re in. The adapter can handle up to from 1000W at 100V up to 2500W at 250V, so the higher the voltage the higher the wattage load it can take.
One disappointment was that the UK plug only provides a plastic earth pin, meaning there’s no true UK grounding, but it is not only that. I’ve had plastic ground pins break on me before, which renders the adapter useless. Even if you don’t plan to use it in a UK socket, it could still serve as a USB charger. Given its cost, I hoped for a metal earth pin. Despite this, the adapter seems well made and remains a versatile travel companion.
It just about scrapes in as a 4-star product—good, but not outstanding.
I have a universal plug extension that takes multiple plug types from around the world. I tested this out and it works for each of its sliders.
It is easy to use, just slide and it locks. The pins don’t accidentally close again on pressure.
It’s a little annoying that the UK plug only tilts the plastic earth pin out, and it’s not a true grounding earth pin that opens first. This is cheating and a bit cheap.
The usb sockets work as expected.
Comes with a large leather bag enough space to add an extra cable.
The universal plug adapter arrived boxed together with a bag and a brief manual. It is very versatile, being able to take a very wide range of international plugs, and similarly able to be used in sockets in a wide variety of countries. The list of countries it can be used in however doesn’t include ones that have type D sockets, for example India. I only pick this out as I happen to be travelling there myself. It does cover so many counties that this one missing type is not a general criticism.
As well as mains plug sockets there are two USB A and four USB C sockets so theoretically it should serve all electrical and charging needs in those countries where it can be used. Further one of the USB C sockets support 35W charging so should charge all but the most power hungry of devices.
The size and weight are slightly more than some universal chargers, but it does have the above mentioned additional facilities,
and it is of course larger and heavier than a single country adapter but if touring, or if you don’t want to keep a drawer full of adapters ready for your next holiday or business trip, this ticks the box.
The adapter seems well made and is fused with a resettable fuse.
At the current cost of 25.99 this ‘universal’ adapter is on the more expensive side of equivalents on the Amazon site. However it is well made and seems a good ‘universal’ adapter to me.
Because of the price, the fact that it isn’t quite universal and the relative bulk, all weighed against the fact that it seems robust and has decent USB A and C charging abilities I will give it 4 stars.
