Spigen Ultra Hybrid MagFit Case for Google Pixel 9 Pro XL, Compatible with MagSafe Accessories – White
This case has many things going for it:
a. smoked translucent – i have the white P9 and you’d never know once the case is on;
b. multi-layered ‘x-ray’ style – it’s not just an image printed on the back, there are images on the inside to create a 3D effect which looks damn cool. Not as cool as DBRAND X-RAY but w/ this Spigen case you dont have the bulk of the case.
c. Slim – it’s close fitting and doesnt add much bulk
d. Tether loop – what a great addition! No more selfie drops
e. camera well protected
This fits really well and does protect the case. Works with a tempered glass screen protector too. However being clear you can see all the dust and fluff that manages to work it’s way inbetween the case and phone. Also the case does show lots of fingerprints.
I first purchased the 9xl pro case (case-mate) from the official Google site. It was very thick and the phone moved inside which was annoying. It made the phone very bulky. This case is very good quality, much thinner and I love the holes for a hand strap. Highly recommended.
My Pixel Case Review: Unleashing the Inner Geek
This case for my Pixel is a testament to the fact that phone protection doesn’t have to be boring. It’s a stylish and functional accessory that speaks to the tech enthusiast in all of us.
Design: Where Tech Meets Aesthetics
The standout feature is undoubtedly the two-level design on the back. The transparent top layer offers a glimpse into the intricate circuitry beneath, while the lower level adds depth and dimension with its textured pattern. This creates a captivating visual effect that evokes the feeling of peering into the heart of a sophisticated machine. It’s a conversation starter, for sure, and will undoubtedly appeal to anyone with an appreciation for technology and design.
Build Quality and Protection:
The case feels solid and well-made, providing a reassuring sense of protection for my valuable Pixel. The edges are slightly raised to safeguard the screen and camera from scratches. The button covers are responsive and tactile, while the cutouts for the ports and speakers are precise.
Functionality:
Despite its striking design, this case doesn’t compromise on practicality. It supports wireless charging, so I can power up my phone without removing the case. The grip is also excellent, ensuring that my phone stays securely in my hand.
Overall:
This case for my Pixel is a winner on multiple fronts. It delivers robust protection, offers excellent functionality, and boasts a unique design that will turn heads and ignite conversations. If you’re a tech enthusiast looking for a case that reflects your passion for gadgets, this is the one for you. It’s a testament to the fact that even the most mundane accessories can be elevated with a touch of creativity and ingenuity.
Pros:
* Captivating two-level design showcasing the phone’s inner workings
* Sturdy construction and excellent protection
* Supports wireless charging
* Comfortable grip
Cons:
* May attract fingerprints on the transparent layer
Highly recommended for anyone who wants a case that’s as unique and sophisticated as their Pixel!
Pretty much perfect. Fits super snuggly with all openings lining up perfectly. Decent lip to protect the screen even when you have a screen protector fitted. I would prefer it to be slightly thinner all round but then there would be reduced protection.
Nice and grippy
Ultra Hybrid Pixel 9 Pro XL
Bought this at the same time as a Mous Clarity 2.0. My intention was to try them both and return the worst one.
I kept the Spigen!
This isn’t a “perfect” fit. The left side in particular has a bit of flex, so doesn’t fit as snuggly as I would like, but overall it’s fine, I’m just being persnickety!
The magnets are very strong and they seem to keep it in the perfect alignment for charging, so on that front, it’s faultless.
As a side note – the Mous case (Clarity 2.0) I ordered from Google (at 60 quid) at the same time was terrible!
It did fit better than the Spigen (no slack either side) but didn’t hold anywhere near as well, to the point I thought it would just fall off the charger, and It didn’t align properly, so charging didn’t work at all!!
All this while touting “made for Google” in the blurb… Needless to say, it doesn’t always “pay” to spend 3 times the amount on a case!
Looks exactly like the pictures on Amazon and no problems fitting it to the phone. Seems a good level of protection whilst allowing the nice colour of the phone to be seen. The edge surfaces are a good material to grip the phone and for it to hold in a selfie stick. Probably a reasonable price in this market, so I would recommend.
The Spigen Ultra Hybrid Zero One case promises a clear view of your phone’s gorgeous design while offering protection. And it does deliver on that front. The case is slim, fits like a glove, and the buttons are tactile and responsive. Plus, wireless charging works flawlessly. So far, so good.
But let’s talk about the elephant in the room. The clarity. While it’s decent, over time, you’ll notice smudges and fingerprints that seem to have a magnetic pull to this case. It’s like a fingerprint magnet with a clear coat. A bit of a bummer.
Overall, if you’re okay with occasional cleaning, this case offers solid protection and a decent showcase for your phone. Just be prepared to wipe it down more often than your phone screen.
Would I buy it again? Maybe. But I’d be on the lookout for a case with a slightly better oleophobic coating.
The case is well packaged and comes with pull off protective covers, on the inside and outside of the case which I suppose is to be expected when you pay a little more ! The case itself is quite stiff, not soft and too flexible like some cases I’ve previously had, the button covers are in the perfect position and work well without having to really squeeze the phone to press them. The various cut outs are also perfectly positioned, my only tiny criticism is that the case could be a little tighter on the sides but I suppose that’s a compromise with a case that’s not that soft and flexible !
Time will tell if this case resists going yellow as quick as the cheaper generic cases available but I’m happy with my purchase and feel that it’s decent value for money.
