Using it with a ps5 and iPad / MacBook Pro, there’s no perceptible lag, it’s as good as having a monitor connected to the ps5. Many options on the MacBook Pro, a bit less on the iPad but still absolutely brillia
I’ve bought a LOT of Elgato 4k capture sticks in my day but the Ugreen takes the cake. Elgato sticks ALWAYS burnout after a few months of use. Their fps capture is subpar. I’ve only had the Ugreen for less than a hour and the frame rate is PERFECT. It’s like there is no barrier between the device I’m capturing and OBS studio. I tested it with a Nintendo Switch and there is 0 delay in capture.
I will update my review a few months from now if there are any negatives.
Installation was really easy. I just connected up everything and it was plug and play.
There were no issues capturing 4K from several of my devices including cameras and microphones.
The resolution is excellent and there was no audio lag or unwanted noise in the streaming.
This is a really excellent capture box that’s well worth the asking price.

I have owned a product previously from ‘UGreen’ which was very good, so I have ‘high hopes’ for this Video Capture card and the great thing is this does not disappoint.

This model I am reviewing is the CM700, the capture device is compact, the top, front, back and bottom of the shell is made of metal and the sides are vented plastic. It is self powered when connected via USB C to your PC/Laptop. Each of the vented corners have RGB lighting to indicate it’s powered on. Once connected to Windows 11, the device was automatically recognised and drivers installed instantly.
Let’s make something clear, I am a complete novice towards live streaming or capturing video from consoles, not something I wanted to do previously until now. What I am aiming to achieve is to be able to capture gameplay footage from my Nintendo switch and also be able to display the live game screen/video on my laptop screen. Coming to this as a complete beginner, I thought it was going to be a daunting task. Long story short, it was not hard at all, following the very helpful ‘quick setup instruction card’, I was guided to download the free OBS Studio software for windows 64bit, installed that. Within 30minutes I had my Nintendo Switch Screen on my monitor, it was excellent video quality with no noticable lag, even when playing the Nintendo Switch Luigi mansion 3 game, using OBS studio on the laptop monitor screen.
Final thoughts: I am extremely happy with this product and its impressively easy in setting up and use. If you are like me and a beginner then you can’t go wrong with giving this a try. There is without doubt a plethora of features that the UGreen CM700 has to offers, I will explore that in time. I’d go as far as saying this is a worthy product and could accommodate more advanced pro users.
For now, it did what I needed to do with no prior knowledge, all with minimum fuss, and the recorded video quality that is equal to the original. Excellent and Recommended.
My son raves about this, he said it is brilliant. He is using it to record his games, and he’s now getting into streaming (since we got this card). When I’ve watched his screen it looks amazing and the colours are vibrant, and there’s no lag or I would have heard this downstairs like two weeks ago lol. The unit looks and feels good quality and for him, was easy to set up.
With some help, I have found that I can actually record my screen on my phone, you know when sometimes you just need to capture something. I am now able to use this for recording future meetings to share with a client afterwards so we both know what points were actioned etc.
For what it does, you wouldn’t expect it to be so small it works perfectly in a lot of different scenarios. Originally bought my partner to use with his PS5 but since then have found many uses for it.
This device is amazing, you can pretty much connect anything with a video signal and record it. Great for making home videos or connecting a phone to a screen and so on. You can even connect it to your TV and output it to your PC. The throughput quality is excellent and it records at up to 4K 60 which is great. I didn’t think I’d get much use out of it at first but now I’m finding all sorts of ways to use it and I’m still learning. Great device and on top of it all, it’s literally tiny, no bigger than a phone!
Occasionally i have wanted to copy something from TV to my laptop and didn’t really have a way but this allows me to capture most anything – even live TV – when connected to a source such as a Sky Box, or other TV or satellite tuner. With the right software it will allow you to record most anything. Working great with my Windows PC but on my Mac I am not quite as happy with the interface. The device itself though is great and a good size for what it does. Recommended!

Im not as technically minded as some members of my family I don’t mind admitting, so I didn’t think having this device would make too much of a difference when it came to the quality of the picture as the image clarity on our tv is great anyway but how wrong i was. The clarity is amazing and having a streaming device which is easy to use by all different ages within my family is great. I love that it has such good versatility when it comes to all the different things that can be connected from our phones, ipads/computers to gaming consoles and even our old school camcorder, its so handy to have, my partner is overjoyed at the difference it’s brought to his gaming experience and the size it is no larger than a phone, im also able to take it with us when travelling to feel more comfortable in being able to get 5* quality when watching films or playing games etc. At the time of ordering the cost was 94.34 which is value for money in my personal opinion.
