When connected, your phone’s Wi-Fi is taken up by the wireless CarPlay. Disconnections are usually caused by Wi-Fi interference. You may need to ignore other Wi-Fi networks and Bluetooth devices when using the adapter.
Will the adapter automatically disconnect from my phone when I switch off my car?
Yes. However, some cars will continue to power their USB ports for a short period of time after the engine is switched off. In this case, the adapter may remain connected to your phone until the USB port loses power or your phone moves out of range.
