  The battery needs to be connected first. Please read the user manual for instructions on connecting the battery.

• Will my APC Back-UPS automatically restart following the return of utility power?

  Yes, when adequate power is restored to the UPS and is within the operating voltage range of the UPS, it will revert to passing utility power to connected electronics.

• How do I stop the beeping?

  Press the MUTE button to Enable or Disable the mute function.

• How often should I replace the battery?

  The service life is estimated to be 3 to 4 years. UPS systems proactively perform a quick self-test discharge test every 14 days (by default) to detect abnormally weak battery packs and notify through indicator or software.

• Does my Back-UPS have user replaceable batteries?

  Yes. APC BE UPS is equipped with a user replaceable battery feature which allows you to replace the battery without the need for tools.
