For the best charging performance, we recommend using an 18W or higher fast-charging power adapter.
What charger power is used for slow/fast charging?
Slow charging requires ≥10W (5V/2A input), while fast charging needs ≥18W (9V/2A input).
Why does the charger show 100%, but the camera battery isn’t full?
A weak power adapter can cause a failed “handshake” with the charger, falsely reporting 100% charge when the battery isn’t full. To avoid this, use an adapter with at least 10W output (18W+ recommended).
Why does the displayed charging wattage fluctuate, and seem lower when the battery is fuller?
Lithium batteries charge at max safe power below 80% (high steady wattage). Above 80%, voltage stays constant but current gradually drops to protect the battery, reducing displayed power.
Why does charging from 99% to 100% feel so slow?
Near full capacity, charging switches to a very low “trickle” current to prevent overcharging, overheating, and extend battery life. This slow topping off can take up to 20% of the total charging time.
